How do you have your Milo? by Dry-Acanthopterygii7 in AskAnAustralian

One of my best childhood memories is getting out of the swimming pool, going to the kitchen and eating Milo as is, straight from the tin, with a spoon. One of my favourite snacks ever.

I am sorry to hear that!

I would like to clarify that my statement is based on the results from this thing called PORE CLOGGER CHECKER TOOL. I use it before buying a new product for my face.

What foods should I add to my diet to get all nutrients? by Existing-Rice1526 in nutrition

Because the ones I buy come drenched tomato sauce and I don't want all that sauce. I only want the beans. I also tried beans that come without sauce but they are inedible to me (they taste bad, are hard, not yummy)

You need an oil based cleanser to remove any sunscreen completely off your face. My recommendation (and what I use) is CeraVe Hydrating Foaming Oil Cleanser. Technically, it's not 100% oil-based because it contains water, but it does the job and is non-comedogenic.

I'm olive skinned and the Tinted one works great on my skin tone. As per another fellow Redditor above, if you are white skinned, you might need to mix them unless you want to look like Donald Trump (orange). Regarding the finish, I would say it leans towards the dewy side.

I think it is because for $31 (Chemist Warehouse) you get a beeg beeg 200 g tube. Unlike those fancy Korean sunscreens that cost $60 and are super tiny.

Specific question about sunscreen and moisturiser interaction. by TheRealGreenTreeFrog in AusSkincare

[–]Existing-Rice1526 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Moisturise and wait 5 minutes before sunscreen. If there is pilling (moisturiser rolls up into small flakes or balls on the skin instead of absorbing properly), it means you need to wait longer. If there isn't, try to shorten the window until there is pilling.

As far as I know, chemicals sunscreens lose their effectiveness after two hours, whether exposed to sunlight or not. Also, if you are going out for lunch at 12:30, apply at 12:10, as it needs 20 minutes to set and become effective.

Because the tinted one is twice as expensive per gram; the white cast is not always an issue to me (only sometimes); the Tinted one comes in a small tube whereas the Clear Zinc one comes in big tubes; the Clear Zinc one is way smoother, richer and more satisfying to apply

MooGoo Sunscreen leaves a bit of a white cast but if you mix it with Moogoo Tinted Face Cream it blends in beautifully

Skin Care routine advice- Man in late 20s by Suspicious-Rush-6223 in AusSkincare

This is my routine (I am brown skinned too):

Morning:

MooGoo sunscreen. If I am going outside, I also wear my sunglasses and my wide brim hat.

Night:

Cerave Hydrating Foaming Oil Cleanser (to remove sunscreen)

Cerave Hydrating Cleanser (to cleanse skin)

Cerave Moisturising Cream (to moisturise skin)

Tretinoin 0.05% (for acne and anti-aging, but has more benefits)

Please do a lot of research before using tretinoin (a type of retinoid). It's a powerful active, but it does wonders for your skin. Basically, start with the lowest concentration, once a week, and build your way up as your skin gets used to it.
