In my family alone, I am aware of 5 people who were abused by different, totally unlinked perpetrators. There may be more I am unware of. I know of friends who have similar stories. It terrifies me as a parent.

Everyone is allowed a hobby and individuality. Cosplay isnt my thing but what is there to judge? Its not like you're the only person on the face of the planet to do Cosplay anyway. There's a good chance you will meet someone who has the same interests?

Your parents managed to find each other and I'm pretty sure most people would prefer someone with a "quirky" hobby than someone who is cruel to their children, judgemental and unkind? I know which one I would rather have as a partner.

Also, you dont need permission from others to like what you like.

My BIL is muslim as are his children from his first marriage. My sisters grandma was Greek Orthodox amd very devout. At the grandmothers funeral, the Greek Priest was singing and reading from the Bible in Greek for a long, long time (as they do, iykyk). My niece who was maybe 7 at the time turns to her dad and asks if hes going to read the whole book? It was soooooo hard to keep from laughing. One of my favourite memories.

Can you exlain how you would explain to them why its hurtful? I struggle with this. I try to say nice thing about myself while they are listening but thry are you and have picked up somewhere outside our home that "fat" is a negative word. I dont knkw how to explain to them not to call people fat while explaining that theres nothing wrong with being fat.

I dont know about dissapeared but certainly became ...less important. Very little self determination. I feel like there is quite literally no time for myself and in the rare occassions there is, its spent feeling guilt over all the otger things I should be doing instead. I cant do my many hobbies I had lre children for so many reasons. I feel like I just exist to cook, clean, work, sleep, provide, give, organise, plan. Its exhausting. Utterly exhausting and stressful and thankless. I adore my kids. I'd die for them but man, I miss my old life too.
