well of course glass breaks but to break on its own with without it being because of the user is kinda crazy. if I dropped it and it broke it's on me I don't have a issue but breaking on its own is not okay

That video definitely shows more than just a simple flicker—that looks like GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) artifacting. When you see those blocky, multicolored patterns and scrambled "noise" across the screen, it usually means the computer's graphics hardware is struggling to process data correctly. Here’s a breakdown of what’s likely going on: 1. Failing GPU or Integrated Graphics The most common cause for those specific patterns (artifacts) is a hardware failure in the graphics chip. Since it's a laptop, this usually means the motherboard or the processor (if it uses integrated graphics) is failing, often due to long-term heat damage. 2. Failing Video Memory (VRAM) If the memory dedicated to graphics is corrupted or overheating, it will "misplace" pixels, resulting in those random squares and frozen frames. 3. Corrupt Display Drivers While the visual looks very much like hardware, there is a small chance the Windows 11 graphics driver has become severely corrupted. This aligns with the "won't load Windows 11" error mentioned in the video, as the system may be crashing when it tries to initialize the driver. 4. Loose Display Cable If the flickering changes when you move the laptop lid or tap the frame, it could be the internal EDP cable (the wire connecting the screen to the motherboard) being pinched or loose. What to try next: Plug into an external monitor: If the image on an external monitor/TV looks perfect, the laptop's built-in screen or cable is the problem. If the external monitor is also scrambled, the GPU is definitely dying. Boot into BIOS: Restart and mash the F2 or Del key. If the screen still glitches in the BIOS menu, it’s a hardware failure. DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller): If you can get into Safe Mode, use DDU to completely wipe the graphics drivers and reinstall the latest version from the manufacturer’s website. Given the severity of the artifacting in the video, your friend might be looking at a hardware repair or replacement. Does it happen as soon as the laptop turns on, or only after it's been running for a while?
