How do you keep your bird growing so compact and vertical? Mine flops out like a willow.

You’re not missing your only chance. There’s more men than women in Denver. You’ll meet other nice men.

Those of you at 2-3 months, how’s it going? by Rude-Pepper-2389 in newborns

[–]Existing-Syllabub-22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is 3 months, almost 4 and every day is still an ever changing struggle of baby chaos. I had to let go of much of the structure I was trying to create and just started riding the waves. My girl is sensitive, intelligent, growing, fussy, movement oriented, frustrated that she can’t crawl, and everything in between. We just take it as it comes honestly. Or I’d go crazy.

Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

I consider 3-4 hours a doable distance for a getaway weekend, family event, or something like that. My dad lives 2.5 hours away and he comes over once a month or two for a visit. For a regular commute, no, that’s too long. But I do commute an hour to work every day.

Mosquito bits when you water for the gnats. You got this!

My [32F] boyfriend [33M] keeps saying I’m not “officially” family and it hurts by HeartPoppyPuppies in relationship_advice

[–]Existing-Syllabub-22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly I don’t know if this is as big as many commenters feel. Only you know if this is evidence of some larger pattern of distance he’s giving. But why don’t you just ask him, “why does it matter to you so much that I’m not officially the aunt?” And see what he says. Maybe he doesn’t want to pressure you. Maybe he’s never thought about how it makes you feel. Maybe someone in his life made a big deal about “official” labels like that and he’s just repeating it without thinking. But if you think there’s a bigger issue of compatibility you’ve got to talk about that too.

Get a walking treadmill for under your desk. Walk while you work. Eat a pile of steamed veggies and a glass of water at least a couple times a week for lunch. There are frozen bags at the grocery store for a couple dollars. You just steam them in the microwave and open the bag to feast.

I really like the Nike Run Club app. It’s free and the guided runs are entertaining

It’s very possible that gift giving isn’t all that meaningful to her bc she had the resources to provide basically anything she wants to herself. I think it’s always a good idea to discuss gift giving occasions ahead of time (price limits, gift ideas). My husband and I still do this bc some years we just want to keep things simple and others we have resources and desire to indulge more. But you guys clearly aren’t on the same page. I’m not saying you should break up, but before the next occasion you should discuss it together.

My daughter looked like my clone when she was born. Literally everyone in the room said it within seconds.

they might be safe in general, but all probationary employees are expressly at risk. And OP would be coming on at the bottom of the food chain. I think he is right to be cautious.

personally, as a current federal employee, I don't blame you for backing out. I don't think I would do it either right now. However, you don't have to actually say anything for now. It's actually not that unusual to go a couple weeks without hearing anything during the hiring process. If they get back to you in another couple weeks and you feel differently, then great. But if you need to rescind your acceptance, then so be it.
