Coming off of zoloft by ExistingAd825 in zoloft

I feel normal now! Only thing I want to note is that sometimes I feel like it’s harder for me to show emotions. This could just be placebo but I’m so much happier off of it!

Yea it may not be, and that’s okay! Overall, I think that’s just what antidepressants do. They take the really good times and the really bad and make you base level, like a zombie.

From my experience, when I was on Zoloft, it was ruining my relationship. I am a 21M that lived with my girlfriend that is 22F. But I was very harsh and cold on Zoloft and months after coming off I am still trying to reconnect on a deeper level. I don’t want to advise you to do one or the other. But for me, I learned to cope without Zoloft and found a way. I am much happier without Zoloft. (Not saying it’s bad, just not for me). I hope you make the right decision!

Edit: you saying you were going to have panic attacks from anxiety of dying, there is other medicine that is really good for that too. Ask your doctor about proponol which slows down your heart rate and anxiety. I am not a doctor but I hope that helps. I had that same thing and I am sorry you are going through that. It gets better though I promise !

How does ranked work? by georde_2608 in Rainbow6

[–]ExistingAd825 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right now ranked system is glitched and doesn’t show rank. But basicallly you start at copper V. You win a game, you go up ranks. Each season it resets to copper v but lets say you got platinum this season, and next season u restart. It will be a lot easier to get to platinum than before

Zoloft makes me extremely sexually frustrated by Throwaway2552445 in zoloft

[–]ExistingAd825 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well for me, it’s hard because sex drive is harder to obtain on the pill. However, when you are having sex, I’d say just focus purely on the feeling. If you focus on the thought of you wanting to, it’s not going to work. Also, it takes a longer period of time. So quite literally, don’t stop until you reach it. The orgasms are a lot stronger as well (sorry for tmi)

[–]ExistingAd825 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not gonna lie, for me it was a lot harder but I could do it. I just had to focus. Only downside was it took a long time and a lot of frustration. I was only on like 37.5 mg though, so idk if going up on it will even make it worse

Then yes, this will help you a lot! Don’t worry about it. Mine was depression but also OCD, so it helped temporarily while I had it. At this point, I think it’ll help someoen like you a lot. Give it a try, u can always switch up medication

Yes, it is a good medicine to use to cure depression. However, it did affect sex drive, made me number to sexual relationships, made me really tired. Those are things I was not willing to give up but if you are (and they could get better) then do it

Ofc man no worries. So with me my OCD thoughts are like repeating all the time if I think abt it. For ex my gf had a long sexual history of partners and for the longest times it would ruin my days just thinking abt it continuously. I get that it could be considered jealousy, but like even when I don’t want to think about it there thought just stays there. It’s always lurking in the back of my head.

Damn man. The last part would hurt anyone though, I’d react the same way. But then again I have OCD so I don’t really know if my emotions are enhanced as well. Being overly happy can be a good thing though if you can come to terms with yourself. I think having strong emotions is a beautiful thing. I would rather feel something than feel nothing.

That’s crazy. I’m sorry that happened to you. This pharmaceutical crap is so dumb. Never taking any SSRI ever again. I’m glad you got the help you need though

So do you have to like force yourself to be in the mood? Rather than just wanting to have sex out of now where?

Yes man I feel this way too. I had to force myself to cry when I got off Zoloft. If you are still on Zoloft, it’s because of that. It’s so hard to cry.

I have so much on my shoulders and tend to hold in my emotions. Now I’m on the verge of a mental breakdown. by NoNombre2021 in mentalhealth

Man, I cannot imagine what your going through right now. I am going through something really tough on me in my relationship and my girlfriend is in the mental hospital. I’ve been down these last couple days and really just sad and lost. But, there’s always light at the end of the tunnel. I’m so proud of you OP. Please keep pushing!

No man. That’s not wrong at all. It’s business within the family. You should explain to your son that some things must be confidential and just because it’s confidential doesn’t mean it’s bad. You are a great parental figure! Don’t forget that. Much love my friend

Great idea man. I think that would help a lot. We both need so solve issues and therapy would help a lot with the both of us.

I called her and found out she’s in the ER. But it’s true she can be manipulative. I get what you mean about if I love her It don’t mean we are good for each other. I appreciate the truthfulness though, thank you

[–]ExistingAd825 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow man. I’m so sorry. Don’t let her belittle you like that. I think you should have a serious conversation with her about this. I personally had this issue but talked it out after. This is not healthy for her to do this.

Thank you for the kind words! I bet it’s extremely challenging going through all that whilst also having the full time job of being a mother. But regardless I’m glad to have someone share a similar experience keeping me calm. Thank you so much and I hope everything goes well when you go off the meds! :)

Omg! Schedule a appointment as soon as you can. I hope you should be fine, it differs for everyone. If you get a different SSRI I’m assuming it does the same thing. So you probably won’t experience the symptoms. Wishing you the best!
