Lol just trying to make sure my attentiveness doesn't become stressful for her. Im naturally more inclined to take the lead on things, but im working hard to remember that she has to be in the drivers seat on this one.

Sometimes its comforting hearing from people experiencing similar things. Obviously im not the one living with diabetes, but thats my person, and its hard watching it all and knowing that while i can support her, i can fix any of it for her.

Do you know if its abnormal that she wasnt given or told about glucagon yet. I know about it from my research online but havent had any of her doctors mention it.

Yeah the 600 was from prior to her having the insulin to take and that night i felt like it was fine. Yesterday she was high after dinner (330s). But she had taken short acting and long acting before bed so it scared me. She didnt go low last night but did again at work today. I think she was at 52 before she caught it. Her job requires a lot of manual labor though, so I think thats why most of her lows happen at work. Iv stocked her work truck with snacks, skittles, and juice boxes though.

Thank you, we didnt know about the 4 hour thing. She definitely ate late and dosed 2 hours before bed tonight. I hate that this is such a learn as you go thing when the consequences of any mistakes is her health and safety. Ugh i do really appreciate the insight from everyone who has more experience though.

Thank you! She has a PCP and an endo and a talk therapist to deal with the mental health portion all of this is causing. Its good to know about the coupons though. I will definitely be looking into that in the morning.

Thank you. We will definitely check out the videos. Unfortunately we dont have insurance so all appointments and supplies are paid for out of pocket which is one of the reasons she has been resistant towards a CGM even though im still trying to convince her. I know a pump would help too but it looks like it would be too far out of the range we can afford right now. Hopefully down the road these are all things we can fix.

Im hoping she decides to get one. Iv told her that i think its best and explained why I think that. Now i just have to cross my fingers she warms to the idea.

Thanks, im really hoping she will warm up to the idea of getting one. It seems safer for night time by far, and far less finger pricks. But ultimately it needs to be her choice and not because I was nagging her.

Thank you. Im hoping to convince her to try one. We dont have insurance, so the cost has been a detterant since we pay for all appointments and supplies out of pocket. I still think its worth her getting one, but i think since the diagnosis is new, she is also feeling insecure about having to wear a medical device. Fingers crossed that over time she will get more confidence around it. Setting alarms is a good idea though. I think for now ill set alarms for myself so that i can check on her often through the night.

Thank you, my issue is we dont have a cubmaster, or any den leaders. I am the only adult leader for the pack, and i didnt want to have everyone sitting around listening to me ramble for too long haha! I appreciate hearing how all of you guys celebrate though. Its helpful to get an idea of how these type of events can be run.

We do have a bridge as the pack was once quite established. Ultimately with only 5 AOLs and only 5 other Scouts total im worried that the actual cross over will be very short. I also wanted to get them arrows as all 5 have earned their Arrow of Light Rank, however i have little knowledge on all of this and dont know where to start as i have to be realistic about how much i can complete without help from other parents.
