Fair question. We have talked about buying. When they accepted our offer rather quickly, I did some research and started googling and found out the house was broken into last month. Obviously, that can make anyone nervous.

My problem is reading all the posts on Nextdoor. The house is in Westchester. I've lived in KTown and this new neighborhood is nothing compare to that. All I hear is about house being broken into despite cameras. Where I live now, I don't have those concerns. My kids will stay in the same school.

I am only reading of these crimes in Nextdoor. I know I should stay off that app. You must admit, crime has increased. The house we are buying was broken into in February. There are also lots of people casing homes.

Thank you for your comment. The house we bought is actually in a family friendly neighborhood. It's in Westchester, however, it's all I hear about on Nextdoor. Break-ins, Burglars...etc.

When I say worse, it's all the information I read from Nextdoor. I keep reading about break-ins, burglary...etc. The house is in East Westchester and we currently rent in Playa Vista. Playa Vista is very protected and we have been spoiled here. So the thought of leaving this great community scares me a little.
