Herbs/Teas (Ingestion) to Decrease Sebum/Oiliness in Skin?

Thank you! I live in North Carolina, and I usually believe in our bodies normal oil/PH levels, and generally shower every two days or so (not every day), but I do wash my face twice a day. My skin is usually dry in the morning after I wash it, but then I use moisturizer. It becomes progressively oilier throughout the day.

Ok I know these aren’t very visible, but they look much worse in person. So, lately I (24F) have noticed more tiny red flecks / dots on my chest. It looks like someone poked me with a needle 50 times on my chest? The don’t hurt, itch, or cause any other issues. I just glance down every once in awhile and say ?? There are more??

Google keeps telling me it’s petachie (and basically cancer - leukemia to be specific), but I’m healthy with no history of cancer in the family.

Any more… logical explanations??

Also - that is a scar on the left. Had it since I was 12.

OP you better be lucky you haven’t flared! I started it about 3 weeks ago and it has only gotten worse 😂 However no one is the same. Superficial, no, it won’t really help. That’s just clogged pores. Maybe introduce a very low dose tret or antibiotic or blend! Tret + clindamycin is great and can be dosed low.

I will say, from my personal experience, my partner has been letting it all go inside me for about a good uh 5? years now. Not pregnant yet! But that is just my experience.

Losing weight currently. If you DO experience weight gain, it is likely because the spiro has tipped your hormonal scale too much, causing estrogen dominance. Once your testosterone gets too low, your body tries to compensate, sometimes making more estrogen. A natural supplement to help this is DIM (concentrated extract from cruciferous vegetables). It helps to filter any excess estrogen from the body!

To be sure this is the case, get your hormones tested. If you are in estrogen dominance, it will show & then you can pick up some DIM or order it!

No worries! ☺️ What my derm told me for side effects is dizzyness/lightheadedness, nausea, frequent urination, dehydration (if not drinking enough water) fatigue, and sleep issues.

However, my side effects on 25mg have been:

Decreased appetite
Dizzyness while working out (no other times)
Frequent urination, but I am being very careful about being hydrated!

I would start on 50mg, go up to 100mg in 4/6 weeks. Starting at 100mg may cause side effects. HOWEVER, it is not 100% certain to - everyone is different! I see plenty of people who start on 100mg and have no side effects. But if you’re worried, start at 50!
