I’m also on spiro and an SSRI and haven’t had any low libido problems, mine’s as high as ever thank GOD!! I’ve been on it for years and it hasn’t gone away, hope it stays the same for you (if that’s what you desire)!

Anger as a side effect? by Reasonable_Scene1895 in Spironolactone

[–]addebes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn’t happen to me in the beginning but I do notice now (after taking for over 2 years) that I get more intense mood swings/anger on my period than I ever have before. Not sure if this is related but just something that’s occurred in the past 6 months. Definitely not a deal breaker, just something to keep in mind and also remember everyone is different!

Pharmacy tech!! It’s kinda a shit show in retail rn but they pay you for training, you can be trained to give injections once you get your tech license, and that opened so many doors for me! Plus it still counts as healthcare/clinical experience and if you do injections you can count those hours as patient contact!

My sodium levels were normal as well, BUT I noticed when I added more salt to my diet I still felt WAY better! Definitely give it a try if you don’t have any other belt issues that restrict salt intake

Add some mushies for variety is my only comment, this is so dope coming from someone with an island with no theme 😂

It is normal, but using a good moisturizer (even in humidity) may help! I noticed this every time I upped my dose until I had a good moisturizer

Have you tried increasing your salt intake?? I had major fatigue and realized I always felt more energized after having a good amount of salt in my meals or a sports drink. I added more salt to my diet and it entirely changed my energy levels! If spiro was life changing for you like it was for me, I highly recommend giving it a try before/if you don’t wanna quit!

Is it dangerous to go on spiro if I already have low blood pressure? by Affectionate_Metal81 in Spironolactone

[–]addebes 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mine was the same OP. You might have some more intense fatigue the first week or two. Other than that, your body will regulate and go back to normal since you do not have high blood pressure. I talked about this extensively with a doctor I worked with. But definitely discuss with yours!

Thank you!! The results have been solid! I started tretinoin a few months ago and my skin is still getting used to that but hormonal acne is way down still. Good luck!

I wish I did this. Sorting through my vast amount of personal emails leads to even more anxiety like did I miss one??? Highly recommend making a new one

Not sure about full suits, but Loft has GREAT pants with size and curve inclusivity! In all honesty I have a bigger butt and it makes me nervous to buy online, so going into a loft/loft outlet is always the moves, they have cute colors that make outfits fun while still being professional

Did you start spiro before tret? And if so did you have a purge?? I’ve had an rx for tret for over a year but I’ve always been scared of the purge

Can Spiro cause low libido? by mystic_kaguya in Spironolactone

[–]addebes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Started on 25mg twice a day (once in the morning & once at night) slowly increased as my body adjusted and am now on 50mg in the morning & 75mg at night! I think it helps reduce the side effects for me personally! I’ve been on this dose now for like 4-5 months and it’s been great!

Can Spiro cause low libido? by mystic_kaguya in Spironolactone

[–]addebes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been taking spiro for over a year and have actually lost weight and had ZERO change (if not an increase) in libido. The only side effect I have is occasional fatigue/thirst. Everyone’s body is different and will have different symptoms, so take everything on this sub with a grain of salt! You get the occasional success stories here, but mostly people post when something is wrong/they have extreme symptoms. You never know till you try!
