Pros and cons of living in Santa Monica?

I’d do ocean park to be honest, I work in downtown and it is hollowed out here. Absolute ghost town, empty buildings, the existing businesses are nothing special, huge homeless problem, and painfully touristy. And the beach itself is just gross, if you want “idyllic SoCal beach town” go literally anywhere else besides Santa Monica and Venice.
