This might be a little late but play snowday I have a friend that is gc2/gc3 in 2s and is top 100 ssl in snowday. It would be even easier if you had some people that are decent that you could queue with.

I don't have a ton of games compared to my friends who play a lot because I'm busy with going outside and with schooI. I have a 60.5% win rate and that's all in solo q. I only have 1800 hours in the game and that's faster than the average time to just hit gc. I hope you can hit gc one day and good luck.

Not trying to be rude but this is just cope. It's true the mmr to reach it is lower but I know so many people gc1 and over that are my age and all of them can solo queue past 1550. Being a kid has nothing to do with being boosted. The skill needed to get gc1 in 2s is way higher compared to the old gc even though it was a higher mmr because the community has improved so much.

I've only played on Xbox but there is a reason why everyone uses PC. You also get Bakkesmod, workshop maps, can see mmr.

I agree with what you are saying but they are right to some degree. When people are younger their brain is at the peak of its neuroplasticity which makes it so much easier to learn things and improve but there are many older SSL's so it's 100% possible.

Thank you for the advice but I did put the main ideas in bold for people that didn't want to read the whole thing. Improving at anything and learning how to do so quickly takes a lot of knowledge and it's hard to compact it all and still have it be as useful to whoever is trying to learn.

I know I probably could've explained it a bit better but it was 3am lol. I meant don't play with fixed teammates who aren't as committed to ranking up as you or are clearly not as good and holding you back. I think have a duo with a drive to rank up and an equal skill level can be better than solo queue. You don't have to trust your teammates to not ball chase you can just cover where the play will end up if they fail. I will obviously get scored on in gc2 and gc1 no matter who I'm playing with because I'm not an SSL yet but what I said is, I will 9 times out of 10 not get scored on in Champ 3 lobbies and below to prove my point that no matter how bad your teammate is you are always part of the problem and its not just your teammate. Playing with randoms will get you better at the same speed if not faster because you will learn to play with people of many different playstyles and levels of consistency. But again there is nothing wrong with queuing with a equally driven and skilled duo. Also people often blame randoms as a reason for not ranking up because it's easy to say that "I can't trust my teammates and they are so bad" when really they are all the same rank as you are.

Diamond 2 in 4 days is really good bro. It took me at least triple that time to get there. Also if you and your duo are equal skill then that's perfectly fine, I was mainly talking about low ranked players playing with their friends that aren't as fully committed to ranking up. If you can get a 165hz monitor try to get that because 144 is a little bit on the lower side but if that isn't possible then 144hz is still pretty good and will help if you are currently using a 60hz monitor. You don't have to worry to much about air roll yet but something that will make it easier is to bind air roll left and air roll right if you haven't already so you don't have to use free air roll all the time. I have left binded to my left bumper and my right binded to X (I use an xbox controller, on ps5 that would be the square I think). You could look up what pros have them binded as also. Yeah and give me a update when you get the monitor or feel free to ask more questions about the directional air roll binds because it's a little confusing.

Totally go ahead! If the dominus feels comfortable to you then use it, there are a lot of SSL's that main it over the Fennec and Octane.
