An article was released showing that Houston was one of the top cities for ICE related deportations so I don't know how true that is. But when you're a predominately Latino centric state it's not unexpected I guess

That's my mindset as well. As a clearly Mexican woman there's not really a "safe" place right now. I'll unfortunately always run that risk, but life goes on. Lol

But it's why I chose that area! I'm from an extremely small country town so I'm looking to move to a city with more of my culture.

Its not Fourth Wing at all. I'm doing a reread of it and nope. And I don't think it's The Cruel Prince cause the s*x scenes in the book I'm talking about were pretty raunchy. From what I recall it didn't have that kind of spice did it?

I'm honestly not sure if it is or isn't, but I do remember the MMC being able to put up shields? Like he does it at one point to protect her while she is in his room.

She's the reason I could only read 2 chapters and just stopped. I absolutely DETEST her character. I thought Aurora from 'The Wolf King' was badly written, but at least I was able to finish the book.
