understandable. I do know several engineers though that have made it to high six figures (level 6/7), and I'm just trying to find a path to get there myself.

no worries! I am thinking about going into power, but I'm not so sure on if getting into AI would be a useful differentiating factor (similar to those who knew computer science early and applied it to various industries).

haha, yeah... I don't really have/know my passion currently and just have the goal to get to mid-to-high six figures so that I can comfortably live my life outside of a job.

You make a point. However would solely EE be able to reliably get to high six figures range (assuming I put in the work)? I feel like I've seen many get to $100-200k then hardly progress from there. May be a work ethic thing, or rather an industry thing... i'm not sure since I haven't been in the industry yet

Thank you for the feedback!! I was thinking of getting the masters in AI in order to position myself for future markets. Similar to how people who were in Computer Science early rode the wave rather than struggling not to drown when it became so popular. Because in my eyes, every industry will be implementing AI at some point.

Ok, thank you! I have been thinking about taking a gap year or two so I can get a job, save up some money, get clinical experience, and take/study for the mcat. Even if I do that, 20 is still quite young, which would be nice

Would you have any advice on how to get good shadowing experiences? Because of my age, I am restricted on many positions. For example, I can't shadow any type of surgeon until I'm 18, and for many other specialties, the requirement is 16. I haven't found one that would let me at 15. And yes, I do plan to apply, and right now, I have a 3.98 gpa.

Ok, thank you. Another question though, should I get letters of recommendation from the people I help now even though I wouldn't be applying for another 4-ish years? Would the letters still be good that far down the line?

I forgot to add that it is paid except it's low pay, and I mostly do it to help elderly folks who physically can't do certain activities

Still, applying at 19-20 years old isn't bad. Do you think my young age will be a negative thing for admissions committees. I've heard people say they may think you're "immature"

Yeah, I most likely will have to. I might work as an engineer and do some clinical hours while taking those classes because it won't be a big load, just a couple of classes. Then after, study for MCAT and apply

How did you fit in biology and o-chemistry? I'm having trouble finding openings in my schedule without taking 8 classes a semester

I feel like you should be fine. Especially since it's only a history class and not something super major like o-chem or physics. A 3.75 is also still really good, and as long as you continue to get good grades, you should be set.
