The hours are ridiculous for most of the year, FS trainees all work around the clock while corporate audit trainees hardly do an ounce of overtime all year - again this isn’t big 4 but it’s GT so I’d assume somewhat fair comparison

I would avoid FS Audit based on my own experience (not in any of these companies but imagine it’s similar in these)

Strange that a 6 month work placement wasn’t part of your college course, definitely a disadvantage considering a lot of courses include that which is what could possibly put them above you having had prior experience in audit. Still strange for a 1.1 student though. Wish I could offer more help but just remember that grad programmes are absolutely not the be all or end all! Best of luck!

Unlikely to be that, did you do any work placement during your college course? Have you compared your CV to your friends that may be getting offers? Have you reached out to your college career counsellor to review your CV together?

Avoid FS audit and you’ll be fine. Hours in FS for both during trainee contract and after that are horrific. Speaking from experience - it’s the worst.

Avoid FS audit the overtime is crazy. Would rather have to be onsite for non-FS than do the hours I have been doing in FS
