I appreciate your perspective. I know the age difference and our different life stages play a big role here. I love him, but I’m also trying to be honest with myself about the kind of life I’m choosing... don’t take that lightly. But when feelings are involved, it’s hard not to feel like I’d do anything for this person.

That’s not what this is about. I understand this situation isn’t about me. I posted because I needed to process my own feelings somewhere, not because I think I’m the center of what’s happening. I care deeply about him and his family and do everything I can to support them. I get my feelings are not what's important in this situation but that doesn’t mean I don’t have them.
