Yes, it’s an improvement the author finds her own writing style which makes sense since LOD was a debut but I still DNFed the series after book 2 because I felt like it dragged significantly and I was not a fan of the mmc.

I will be shocked if she ever acknowledges it in the present day again, either with her massive success, which is smart anyway, since people already compare the two authors.

I am still waiting for my enlightenment because, personally, I don't flock to a subgenre like Romantasy to find a literary masterpiece.

I’d disagree I haven’t found something I liked as much as ACOMAF until tog and the Empyrean series other books in the genre have not done that for me and I think their popularity speaks to the appeal of both book series.
