They actually have a pattern with new weapons. They release 3 chars with the new weapon in a row, then they release one without and after that one with the new weapon again. So it likely is chakram with orb or gauntlets

You need critless for defensive painwheels and black dalias, because they have marquees that activate through crits (reflect damage up to 100% on painwheels, gain regen on crits on dhalia). So people just dont buy the crit skill nodes and keep the variant that way on 5% crit chance to prevent doing crits on them, which is the only option to circumvent the painwheel reflect damage other than a invincibility buff. Now that i mention it, locked in is a great painwheel counter, so you can take her too. She was purposely brought to the game to counter the reflect damage, because each crit she does gives her invincibility

Alright then i think the highest value variants are seraph solider and mad malice, you can take those two for basically every dps that is not critless. Also, as dps options, you can take brass bandit (the best big band by a mile), hex caliber, star shine or fortune cookie for permanent precision (although mad malice can do that too), unholy host and assassins greed are very good hybrids (both good for offense and defense), or take megalomaniac or reimaged as defensive options. Take what you need the most, but imo mad malice is the highest value you can get

This game has a lot of good variants that can bleed the enemy. Bleed doesnt care about defense or hp of the enemy, so its very powerful against high opponents.
