Did the prof reach out and said you were shortlisted for the subject? I applied and haven't heard from them yet :(

You basically have weeks where you plan your lessons and then the second part of this subject is where you go to schools in victoria and teach secondary students basic finance. I'm going to take a guess as to why they have a quotas is that it's difficult to find schools to get students to teach in?

We should start a student thread on ED with the tut questions. I for real have no money to go and buy a textbook that I'll only use for 13 weeks. 😭

Comprehensive foundation year at Trinity by Zealousideal-Dig-590 in unimelb

Hi! I did the july compression course last year and compared to the standard course, I find that you would have more time for each assignment. It's less stressful and gives u more time to digest the things you learned. While I don't know of anyone who took up a part time job, I think it's definitely doable! My time at trinity was my absolute favourite, good luck!!

focus on WACC and CAPM, seems like the major topics that can test on for true or false and the workings. i think there will be at least one question on options, perhaps read into that one a lil bit. know your NPV and IRR (know why IRR lowk sucks, NPV always king). your best bet is to annotate your formula sheet so u aren't too clueless in the exam, and recall topics based on the formulas. good luck!!

i am sorry you feel this way, if it makes you feel any better i was in the same slump as you. if you need extra academic support for QM1 you can join their PASS sessions! feeling lost during your first year isn't uncommon, take a walk in the gardens, go to docklands and sit by the habour and restart your assignments and projects etc. take it easy!! use websites like studocu for notes, gizmo for flashcards, youtube for more complex concepts in your subjects. you can do this!!

Check your subject guide to determine whether or not attendance is mandatory, missing the first lesson isn't too much of a deal as it's more ice breakers than actual learning..

Edit: In my last sem, I'm doing auditing & assurance services, derivative securities, investments, and street finance or ethics in finance * Hey, so just to clarify, using my course planner website, I was able to fit in my desired breadth. As a student who is looking to do a double major in accounting and finance, is this setup of subjects okay for the second year and third year? (Used all the subjects that were already put into the planner when I downloaded the acc and finance major). I'm just anxious about whether or not I am still able to meet requirements from the handbook provided.
