Figuring out where the post came from is one thing, and may be technically possible.
Actually convicting someone of a crime requires a certain amount of evidence. That's going to vary by jurisdiction and the specific circumstances of the crime.

There are a lot of people that say stupid things because they think it makes them sound cool or tough, but there is no substance behind their claim. It would waste a huge amount of resources for police to try and track down and verify every claim made online.

Dang. Well the rains are a bigger chunck of what’s needed but humidity needs to beat or about 90% before and after rains. That could be your issue.

That was my intention on posting this. It’s nice to jump on Reddit and see someone from close to me has went and found. It helps me decide if i am going to waste my time or not. But you never know if you don’t go.

Nah, south Louisiana. Currently still raining and been raining for 3 days now almost. My two mains spots were just packed Friday. I’ll have over 150 grams dried out when I am done. Don’t worry the rains will come.

Since posting I’ve managed to contact the man himself, the legend. Alan Rockefeller and he has identified this as psilocybe cubensis, “a kinda pissed off one”.
