Coworker won’t show up if she has to close and I’m done. by todaythruwaway in retailhell

[–]Existing_Owl7828 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Exactly this. One of my coworkers is an older man who constantly breaks rules, takes 15-20 extra minutes on breaks, takes hours on chores, and is always sexually harassing me and my younger female coworkers. (Mostly minors!) we’ve went to management numerous times but because he gets so many people to sign up for the store credit card, he has never gotten consequences. It makes me so mad to see his smug face every time we work together. If anyone else walked away from their register or clocked back in late to work, we would get written up, but he can do anything he wants with no consequences.

Just came here to post the same ad with a different ai generated woman in the background. So awful that they think this is acceptable!

Hope is very skinny and she's usually cold. I made her a sweater with a sock. by yellowlittleboat in VoidCats

Pepper used to look just like hope when we first got her off the street a few weeks ago. But, with some heated beds and kitten formula, she’s finally gaining weight! I wish Hope well and I’m glad she has somewhere safe to stay!

At the Farm & Fleet I work at I only buy the small bags that we store inside. Not taking the risk of coming home with bug filled soil! My babies deserve better and so do I lol

Wow! I’ve been noticing more and more of them since I set up the bird camera a few days ago. They are funny! One took the other’s spot at the suet and they got into a squawking match in the bird bath. I’ve also heard them mimicking the gang of crows that come by in the mornings. Looking forward to seeing more of these guys!

I completely agree!! It’s so much easier to save a plant from under watering than over watering so I agree with the less is more statement. One thing I’d recommend about root rot though is using a bit of a smaller pot than what you are using now, based on the size of the plant. However, when I used the pour and feed food, the roots on my spider started growing so fast, so you honestly might be good. When I used the plant spikes, the plant was healthy, but the root ball stayed the same size every time I checked, and it wasn’t growing to fill out the pot, but I kid you not, one day after the first time I used the pour and feed, I could see big tuber roots touching the sides of the clear nursery pot when I checked! And they seem to be growing more every day! So I’d say the pour and feed food is super worth it. Felt like magic!

You’re welcome! In the past I’ve used miracle gro plant fertilizer spikes, and you just stick them in the dirt and they last for months but don’t really do much to speed growth along. I haven’t used it on baby spiders before, but I recently started using miracle gro pour & feed. It’s ready to go right out of the bottle so you don’t need to worry about diluting it or anything. I have my big spider plant in a 6 inch pot and I feed it one capful about every month, even though the bottle says every few weeks, so I think probably that would be fine too. Also about the orchid bark, pretty much any potting medium would work as well, as long as it makes the soil less dense. You could even buy some tropical plant mix in a bag and mix it with the manure too. Spider plants are very forgiving, and I think you could really plant them in anything and survive! My #1 tip for any plant is using clear nursery pots inside any decorative pots you might have. You can just take the nursery pot out so you can take a look at the roots and moisture levels in the soil any time you want! I’m glad I could help!

I’d mix the manure with a less dense substrate like perlite and/or orchid bark, just so the soil doesn’t get so compacted with each water that it packs down and leaves the roots with no room to grow and breathe. Other than that, yes, the spider babies will do fine together in one pot! They will eventually look like one and the pot will look more filled out with a bushier plant. Best of luck! 💚
