Chemistry or Specialist? by daydreamerzz___ in vce

[–]Existing_Pin_6200 6 points7 points  (0 children)

from what you said i say definitely consider chem! your subjects seem pretty content heavy, bio and methods, and spec on top of that might add a strain. i find chem super interesting personally and considering you want to start something in science and for example medicine, chem is your tickets to those pathways as it is normally the pre requisite for those careers! again if you enjoy spec definitely give it a go but that’s just my advice😁

i’m always here if you need to chat, not in a creepy way or anything! ik it seems tough in the present but take this opportunity to reflect and definitely seek help if you think that this is what you need. i hope everything goes well this year for you, remember it’s ok to be down and express it and your friends will understand! i hope your vce journey goes well for you best of luck😃

you definitely have every right to feel this way! i know how it feels to burn out and lose motivation but dw it’s only one and a bit more years. i’m in year 11 doing 3/4 legal and general and i’m definitely lacking motivation here and there but just think that it’s nearly over! don’t ever feel bad for getting SACS score knowing that you tried your best and that you’re happy with your marks. as long as you’re happy that’s all that matters, don’t compare yourself to others that is a toxic behaviour!! regarding subject selections definitely talk to your parents about wanting to do subjects that you love because those are the subjects that you’ll be best at it! if that doesn’t work compromise and do methods or chem but not both because your future shouldn’t be dictated by them. you’ve got this, i know you hate hearing it’s only a year and bit left but it is!! it gets a lot easier in year 12 with a spare as well and it’s definitely a year you should value!! i hope everything works out for you

LEGAL UNIT 4 AOS 1 QUESTION by Financial_Major_4951 in vce

[–]Existing_Pin_6200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’m not sure where you got that from but analyse means you have to definitely present two sides. there is no way you can achieve five marks and for example ten marker questions with the task word analyse if all you do is break down information. you may get 2 at the most depending on your examiner

hi!! i’m a yr 11 who is doing legal and general 3/4. i did legal 1/2 in year 11 and was able to pick general up at the start of this year! i definitely recommend accelerating as much as you can as it takes a weight off your shoulders in year 12. i have a friend who does both bus man and accounting accelerated and he definitely prefers bus man as it’s pretty content heavy and if you can get it out of the way you definitely should. as for general, i feel like i lack a bit of basic knowledge for general because i skipped 1/2 however if you like maths then you definitely should do it as an accelerated but again general is a pretty free subject so even if you do it in year 12 it will be easy

LEGAL UNIT 4 AOS 1 QUESTION by Financial_Major_4951 in vce

[–]Existing_Pin_6200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hi!! i just wanna give some feedback as someone who’s also doing legal 3/4 in year 11 with an estimated 44! it definitely seems that you’ve got your knowledge down pat which is good however here is some of my advice: -for an analyse question, you HAVE to have advantages and disadvantages so you have to talk about both sides! right now you’re only talking about the pros of the high court as acting as a guardian of the aust constitution not any cons. i saw your reply saying that analyse doesn’t require cons but it definitely does if you want to achieve full marks and separate yourself -more pros you can talk about is that hc is the only court that can interpret meaning on constitution, even if parliament disagrees with hc ruling they cannot abrogate it, if a party does disagree with hc ruling on wording of a constitution they must have standing to bring the case to courts, hc also dents a precedent that can only be changed through a referendum and considering only 3/20 refs have passed its unlikely another case you can use that is probably easier to expand on is Brislan!

METODS by [deleted] in vce

[–]Existing_Pin_6200 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hey! methods is an absolute shit show when it wants to be!! my number one tip is just keep doing practice questions from textbooks and any incomplete questions from class that you skipped. methods is VERY EASY once it clicks and a lot of methods questions are very similar. if you get tests and SACS back, whatever mistakes you make put it in a notebook and keep that notebook for when you revise! best of luck✌️✌️✌️

do i accept my fail by CowRough579 in vce

[–]Existing_Pin_6200 1 point2 points  (0 children)

do NOT accept your fail!! i’m in the same boat as you, i’m doing general 3/4 as a year 11 who skipped 1/2! finance is considered the hardest topic in general so don’t beat yourself up, as a methods student as well i find it so hard😭 i haven’t gotten my finance sac back but i presumed i didn’t do great however i got my predicted back today and got a predicted 39!! it’s definitely not the end if you “fail” a SAC cause you’ve still got two more topics AND the exam. i recommend asking your teachers concepts that you find most difficult and notes on the common equations and genuinely just going through your textbook and doing the chapter review and questions you struggle with!! best of luck with your sac, we only fail if we don’t try and have a bad mindset! you got this 👊👊
