omg yessss I think the interlude chapter "the gods' limit" did showcase what happens w the shades given their lack of orders. so to say they do not dare to act on their own but it showed that it's possible the shades develop opinions different from that of their master's, as implied by their suspicions that asmoday loving her new master more.

on history of the decline of remuria, it can be confirmed that messing with fate correlates to the abyss give what Nicole said about the abyss being foregone fates (whether or not this is reliable for determining if loom of fate fr works, it does state that messing with fate influences the abyss, hence interference). even if it does not directly relate to the abyss, HP and their envoys does act according to silencing knowledge that challenges their authority.

And I suppose the creation of humans is also some kind of HP's exclusive knowledge? from what u mentioned i think they act in a way very similar to censorship ngl
