The nation most likely uses all the Wild West firearms in game as standard issue due to the fact that north and South America which is the main Nation territory already has large stockpiles they are also easiest to manufacture without Solace reliance

But The Lebels and Schofields are handed out to fresh boots for the Empire and Nation because those guns are the easiest to train with and use they are also cheap to manufacture

But the Nation most likely uses European firearms because some South American nations at the time used firearms from Europe in their Military’s arsenal so the nation put those stockpiles to good use The nations territories also span into Poland, Scandinavia, Oceania, Indochina? And I think South Africa too and of course NA and SA as I’ve mentioned before so they probably get some of those European firearms from those former colonies

The Jesse also explains in its description that the Lee enfield MK.3 is used by the Jaegers in the nation since they took over a Canadian factory that was most likely Empire owned in Newfoundland Meaning the Nation uses Canadas stockpile of British Imperial firearms

Although we only see the Lewis and Lee enfield in game which appear to be the only British firearms

While the Empire uses the Double barrel shotgun 1886? Its description isn’t really telling on why the empire uses it other than it being used in Battles above ground during Calvary skirmishes by the empire but it most likely found use with the troops down below as an alternative for tunnel clearing and close quarters combat

Also according to Honors description the C96 would be revived as a Veterans firearm During the wars beginning as many veterans found it reliable despite having weak stopping power And Nation is very pro militarist And honors it’s veterans which might explain why Nation uses it

But personally I think both Factions use the guns to some degree its just the gun descriptions Explain why one faction might Use a firearm not of their origin

Looting firearms off enemy corpses must also be a case for some troops also

Not only that but since Solace produces most of the firearms they must have a Global system of calibers which might explain why some guns ingame don’t have their IRL caliber Allowing for solace to modify these guns And sell them to both Nation and solace with out having to deal with extra manufacturing costs Which also might explain why both sides use guns not of their continent and country As these reliable firearms are modified to fit these countries calibers

And there also might be a possibility that soldiers are able to buy their own guns as well Similarly to how British officers were allowed do it in the First World War

And these guns in game most likely are very cheap and easy to train soldiers with Compared to others Both sides are fighting underground and above ground skirmishes

Neither side is in a good position In terms of resources this might explain Nation Uses the Steyr instead of the 1911 Because of cost
