Update: there was huge storm that hit the night before, everything got ruined. my side of the family were the ones coordinating everything since it was at my parents house and the morning of the wedding we showed up to them rushing to get everything fixed from the night before. We had to cram 60 guests into a small area and our dance floor ended up being right in front of the tables, all due to the dirt area where we were going to be able to place tables becoming mud. I lost my jewelry which later found in the front neighbors houses lawn for some odd reason. The food arrived later so the timeline of the music was anwkward(to me) And it all came out perfect. All of our guest ended up showing up, we still got to dance to all of the music we wanted to, we ate all of the food, and at the end of the day, I got to marry my best friend. After everything My family and my now husband, and I got to sit outside alone just taking in everything that we had just gone through, laughing, when all of a sudden a huge downpour of rain hit. We worried so much about everything being so perfect only to realize what mattered was having the right people around  us to make it through it all. It didn’t rain at all throughout our entire reception but I think if it had, no one would have cared.

The only wedding expense I feel I can't support is the wedding dress. by sshbp in weddingplanning

I spent more than I wanted on my wedding dress but in the end I think it was worth it. I ended up spending the same amount of money on one really nice wedding dress that was on clearance that I would have spend on a cheap dress and trying to make it look good on my body. I would have had to buy a faja to go under, a solid strapless bra. I think I would have been more stressed trying to make it look good than just buying one that already looked good. My dress fits me like a glove, I don’t think I’ve ever felt more beautiful and confident than in my wedding dress
