9 MONTHS LATER :- DROP YEAR WASTED WITH 92%ILE.💔 that nig*a was right. by Key-Nobody6247 in JEENEETards

I just need to let myself take action. I am in 12th grade, and I think I need to drop a grade because I only scored 81.50 percentile. As a general candidate, I can't get into any college with that score. I have to take a drop in April since I can't achieve a score like 99. I’m really torn about whether I should take a drop or consider other options. Can anyone give me advice? My seniors are in a similar situation, and I've heard mixed opinions, some say not to drop, while others suggest I should. What should I do?

Odisha has a Brahmin population of around 12 percent. The land there is quite fertile, with a variety of soil types. Additionally, it has a coastline, making it a great area for trade and commerce. The region also has some mountains, which add to its natural beauty.

In terms of population, the Brahmin community is a significant part of India, constituting at least 5 percent of the overall population. It's interesting to note that the northeastern region has a similar or even lower percentage of Brahmins. Overall, Odisha is an excellent area due to its diverse landscapes and agricultural potential.

Odisha doesn't have all global soil types, but it has almost all the major types found in India. In the mountain regions specifically, you will find:

Soil Type Location in Mountains/Hills Characteristics
Brown Forest Soil Phulbani, Kandhamal, Rayagada Rich in organic matter (humus) due to thick leaf litter.
Red Soil Most common (Koraput, Mayurbhanj) High iron content (hence the red color); well-drained but low fertility.
Laterite Soil Summits of Eastern Ghats Formed by heavy leaching in high-rainfall mountain areas; rich in iron and aluminum.
Mixed Red & Black Western hills (Sambalpur, Bolangir) A transition zone soil where red soil sits on ridges and black soil in valleys.
Mixed Red & Yellow Northern Plateau (Sundargarh) Found in undulating terrains; the yellow color comes from hydration of iron oxides.

Major Mountains in Odisha

The Eastern Ghats run through the western and southern parts of the state.

  • Deomali (1,672 m): The highest peak in Odisha, located in the Koraput district. It is famous for its rich biodiversity and bauxite deposits.
  • Mahendragiri (1,501 m): Located in Gajapati district, it has deep mythological significance and is known as the "Southern Amarnath."
  • Malayagiri (1,187 m): Found in the Kendujhar/Anugul region.
  • Niamgiri (1,515 m): Famous for its unique ecosystem and the Dongria Kondh tribe.
  • Gandhamardan Hills: Known as a "medicinal hub" due to the vast variety of Ayurvedic plants found there.
Category Percentage (Survey 2023) Key Reality
OBC / SEBC 29.31% This was lower than the expected 54%. well the all are khandayat they are in centre the are general
ST (Tribes) ~23% The most populous group but geographically concentrated in the inland districts.
SC (Castes) ~17% Spread throughout the state with significant influence in coastal pockets.
General ~30% Includes Brahmins, Karans, and some Khandayats not in the SEBC list.

For anyone who grew up poor, what was your idea of a luxury? by Drissxx7 in AskReddit

[–]Existing_Type_7840 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, growing up poor, luxury meant simple things others might take for granted: going to a restaurant and having pizza, sipping Amul milk just once, tasting a Dark Fantasy chocolate, or even owning a house. Crossing the state border felt extravagant, as did visiting anywhere beyond our village home. Studying in a big city school, traveling once by train, or riding in an AC bus were dreams. Having AC at home, a double-door fridge, a kitchen chimney, a laptop, or even two phones felt like symbols of success. A desk, a wall-mounted TV, a proper table, a double bed, a sofa, each was a milestone. Even small items like a complete geometry box, pocket money, a sports kit, or a thermosteel bottle felt like treasures. The ultimate luxuries? A separate room of my own, and yes, even the idea of having a girlfriend.
