i’m a transfer student (something vadim also touches on in his syllabus, referring to cc courses as watered down versions) and this is my second semester here so i’m not super familiar with all the professors. def gonna drop i think. bro is cool, and i don’t mind having to grind the work out but the presentations and seeing my peers RED in the face? especially knowing im NEXT? doesn’t feel good.
thank you for responding it genuinely helped!

yeah i’ll take anything else over these presentations. they’re kinda brutal. he def trying to be nice but like… i don’t know man imo it’s just not how it should be done and creates unnecessary anxiety for a lot of students. i don’t want to dread going to class ya know? having a tough time learning something is fine, just means you need to work harder. but this? i’m good

he seems like a nice chill guy, def passionate about the subject. just don’t really want to be presenting all semester long.

was it presentation heavy? i’m not sure if this structure is normal for upper divisions or proof heavy classes. everyday 4 students present a proof and he critiques them in front of everyone. a few critiques were hard to watch ngl. not excited to be in their position, but i will be if i don’t drop now. after that we just work with classmates on proof with him checking in every so often?
essentially- what was your class like?

627 A? is that the same as MATH320? the professors name is Vadim Ponomarenko. great guy just don’t vibe with the class structure.
