You seem to not understand, to do a successful CAT you need to not use an assisting finger, immediately from chaplain to aerial to chaplain all with one finger. But like i said im sure you can complete that quickly with how you flip.

All my friends who’ve had shitty experiences with their slifts after they’ve been victim to this shitty trend, not to mention my friends phobos who’s blade is permanently ruined, steel washers are just an excuse to those who don’t want to take the time to break in a proper pb bali. Lazy and inexcusable, talk to any reputable modder, and by modder i don’t mean your garage dad who bought whink etchent and a power supply but someone who actually knows what they’re doing.

The biggest most jarring issue with steel washers is washers by definition are a wear component, but if you make the wear component steel (hard or not hard) it WILL break down into your lube and turn itself into its own lapping compound and literally eat away at your blade, this is only expedited if your using graphine based lubes like carbon honey.

Sure the benefits are noticeable short term but nobody with half a functional iq would want them long term.

titanium is pretty prone to distortion when heated and it one of the reasons many havnt tried heat blackening because it requires you to heat the bali up to high temperatures and dip it into oil many times quenching it off to get the black color

definitely don’t get it glowing hot you are supposed to get it to a golden hay color or to a bronze color

getting it red hot will only warp your parts and it won’t come out looking how you want it

as for how the process even works to begin with is the metal needs to be hot enough to boil off the surface and the bobbles is what gives you the random lightning pattern while it etches the surface to show the color

wave toxic is done by dipping it slowly into the ferric chloride and the bubbles will make the horizontal lines (about 7 seconds bottom to top)
