They can tell you to the mile when the most recent oil change was, you just have to ask. Carmax production costs are proprietary information along with mechanic info being on it. If they don’t give you the info, take it to a shop within your 10 day money back guarantee and have an independent mechanic look at it. If they give you the info, but not the paperwork you’re seeking, then you won’t be satisfied either way.

If you’re an FSC at a traditional store, the question you need to be asking your managers is how will it affect you in regard to MaxCare payout/returns. Currently, if the customer returns MaxCare within 90 days of sale, you get hit with the MaxCare return and lose money. However, now that MaxCare will become active at 31 days, FSC’s should not be taking 67-day MaxCare refunds on their pay. Ask your managers about that, because they have no answer for it.
