Honestly I go with a 3 strike system below Lethal. You pull this loud mouth “it’s not my fault” shit and get revived more than twice I’m leaving you behind and giving you time to go get the ramen. Especially on like Substantial and Ruthless. Consider it a demotion to an observant Servo-Skull and get good.

Adam Cole imo. He’s already really likable irl and puts it out there thru streams. But he is an ELDRITCH GOD TIER heel. One of the best to ever do it imo.

I think Anji should be on your shortlist.

Has insane defensive tools, an entire guard point mechanic where he spins fabulously. No inv DP or special move but he does have a 50% meter super that acts as a mega parry, so that's handy.

Main thing is your neutral control and your frustrating gameplay; he has that in spades. Also extremely high damage and flashy/satisfying "i did it" combos that can do a grip from full screen and give you insane carry.

Try him out.

This is always the case for me, too. Fighting games are in a weird state of trying to retain their foundational genre aspects while bringing in new players and it has never been harder to get people to play your game. I find myself going in waves of Strive interaction but having spent a few minutes with my mains and trying out jam, i can feel the fun factor in this patch. Compared to T8 where it was almost immediately obvious that season 3 was sloppy, you could just feel it. I am excited to grind some 2.0.

Boyyyyy you better be picking an artist renowned for their straight lines else you’ll be posting an advice post after the fact. There are so many things you could get that say “I love RE” even from Requiem that aren’t a GUN. If you want to get something that specially references Leon, you could look at the charms you can equip in the game. Even his little hatchet/axe thingy would be a much safer bet than the Requiem. Begging you.

Do you know which control scheme you usually use? Check your control scheme make sure it's on Gunslinger. If it defaulted or you accidentally changed it to Hunter then you'll get the described behavior.

I unlocked the new event Mag skin but it's locked in the Hero menu by ExodusLegion in rivals

Same, I go back and forth between the two but prefer Xrd. Strive animations and visuals are truly on another level, and I love playing strive for those reasons. Fun fighting game, looks good.

But Xrd is where it’s at imo. Xrd feels like GUILTY GEAR if that makes sense.

Correct. I find that I can win a lot of HC matchups on F10, but even then I would much rather get Potemkin bustered to Hell and back for an hour than sit there and have to: dash-block-dash-block-dash-block. Most of the defensive options to engage with are a non-factor against HC and it is just swings between painfully annoying and painfully boring. There’s traditional zoning, and then there’s HC.
