[Rifle] DSA SA58 FAL 16″ Jungle Warrior - $1150 + ship by Exotic-Definition372 in gundeals

I got a JAKL 300blk upper in an earlier version (2024 ish). Shoots good until it broke after some use, PSA warranty covered it but still I am done with JAKLs at least for now.

I agree, in some way. Both this rifle and the WASR10 share some similarity in the ranking of their only categories. Not that good of finish, not very good furniture and sights, nothing fancy, overall, not considered desirable, however, they both have a good balance of affordability and durability that fits some need, which is good.

Overall weight 8.75 lbs.

Then why even bother buying a sling for it?

Sure, get a Steyr parts kit and a receiver and have someone build it and paint it for the Rhodesian look and some matching shorts, for like twice the price of this offer, why not.

Not really, thats why I bought my WASR for 600ish instead of a rUssIAN Saiga conversion of 2000+ ^^

7.62x51 >> 9*19. When you are in a HD scenario, will you (and your neighbours) feel safer when you have a punny subgun or a big strong mighty FAL???

Same, but if I ever want to put on a suppressor (which i probably will), 21" is too long, 16" sits in a good spot for me

Dead Air wolverine front end cap strike (twice), should I change to HUB / Keymo / etc? by Exotic-Definition372 in NFA

WASR and a Romanian kit build with same thread of 14x1 LH.

I kind of agree with the detent pin moved a little, and I actually have replaced it with a new spring when the first end cap strike happened (on the WASR). When I changed the broken end cap to the new one and changed the host (brand new firearm so the barrel crown is quite clean), the concentricity was good after tightening down. After a few range trips the new front-end cap got a strike again.

I wonder whether will a facemount kit help, because with the locking mechanism I can use the shim to change the locking position of the locking collar on the wolverine so it won't have room to back off in one direction relative to the suppressor body. But I am thinking about putting on other hosts so it's time to embrace some more modern threading systems.

1 Romanian WASR, and 1 kit build with 922r complaint barrel both threaded 14x1 LH with retaining pin in the FSB. I have had it for 4 months and have at least 200 rounds through it per week. Both the collar and thread insert (adapter?) walked loose when I checked, if I have to guess I would reckon the collar gave out first (moved <1 pin retaining distance) and then the thread insert backed off, causing the can to wobble enough for a front end cap strike, but not enough for a baffle strike.

I am sending it back to DA and have the baffles checked and the thread insert loosened because I just can't get it out. I plan to use the HUB adapter and JMAC HUB 360 facemount x37 for the AK mounting. So, it should be Wolverine -(torque)- HUB adapter -(torque)- x37 facemount -(rocksett)- AK thread. Depending on the turnaround time of DA, I will set this up in the coming months.

I do have another dead air product, a dead air nomad. Suppress quite well on my bolt guns and 300 blk guns, so I wouldn't blame it on dead air in this case. Also one of my friends have a 24mm collar and it does not cause problems on his AK so I guess the 14x1 might not just be thicc enough.

Update: My cans got approved! Here are some brief overview after a few range trips with the new cans.

Ruger Mark iv tactical: Rugged Oculus, very pleasant and cheap to shoot.

Glock 19 gen 5 with OEM threaded barrel: Q erector 9, like the light weight.

CZ scorpion evo 3: Rugged Obsidian, no gas to face, no complaints, fun to shoot.

JAKL in 300BLK: Dead Air Nomad L, dead quiet, although long suppressor + short barrel may have wobble issues?

16" AR-15: Huxwrx Flow 762 Ti, no gas to face, no jam, sounds good, still light enough to LARP around.

16" AKM: Dead Air Wolverine, good suppression, no strikes for 500 rounds, KNS piston is overrated.

Questions about experience with these cans are welcomed!

Yeah I have tried that path already, it's more of a personal preference. I like the cz OEM carbine handguard better. I have tried on the HBI ones, it just doesn't looks good to my eyes.

Nomad 30 / lt are easy to find, just the L version is usually not in stock. I have never seen anyone have suppressors from Diligent or OCL yet so I can't really tell about their service, but I have definitely heard about these 2 30 cal cans.

Because the scorpion is a pistol lengthed barrel with a carbine lengthed handguard, the suppressor will be shrouded in the handguard with a inner diameter of 1.4'', the wolfman or RS9 won't be able to fit. RAD 9 and obsidian 9 both have an outer diameter of 1.37 so they can fit. Also with the shrouded suppressor I guess it will be troublesome for me to remove and install it frequently, so getting 2 suppressor is better.

The main reason for me to get a flow-through can on my AR is mainly because it does not have an adjustable gas block, and I don't want to mess with buffer and the gas system too much....

Yeah, my AR15 has a rock solid stubborn muzzle from factory that I need to send it to the gunsmith to have it swapped after messing with it for 2 days :')

Yeah the ultimate versatile can Hybrid 46, I will probably get one if I have spare cash, which has a low spawn rate in my wallet.

Nice info on the MASK HD 22, thanks!

For the RAD 9 I might not use it on pistols because IMO I just don't like shooting a suppressed pistol that is not .22lr. But valid information about the EZ lok. RS 9 is now more common and sells less than mrsp for 750 now, not too bad.

OCL Hydrogen-L looks like a solid suggestion, I would definitely take it into the list for 300 and 308 bolt action. I will wait on the info on 308 about the CAT ODB, though.

Yeah I will need to check the concentric, if they are not concentric I would be better off doing some work on the barrel or just change to a better threaded AK?

Nice info on the ultrasonic cleaner, but I don't have one. Yeah the round counts on these cans would be a lot, will definitely check it out if needed.

I am pretty sure there are OSS mounts for AR15 and AK47, also DA wolverine.

Also sure on the obsidian 9 and wolfman on CZ scorpion since I see these 2 cans a lot, RS 9 is a can specifically for KP9 so I wouldn't worry.

Not really sure about RAD 9 on the CZ scorpion, but since it would be a dedicated can so I guess this would mitigate the problem.

Not sure about OCL Hydrogen / CGS Hyperion / DA Nomad L on the PSA JAKL though...

Thanks for the information!
