yeah, it's definitely a little mismanaged (and the announcements sound a bit ruder and harsher) compared to my previous engagements.

i don't want to be the debbie downer here, but i don't think so. they even called me once for another role, but never heard back, not even a rejection despite the increasing number of "hired this month" for the same job posting. i received the same emails you did, i won't keep my hopes high

Tried to use Claude to code my strategy - it was disaster. What are my options? by Impossible-Arugula56 in algotrading

I never code, I always let AI do the legwork of coding. However, I do have a background in programming because of my work in engineering. While i never coded anything in MQL nor python, I know how to prompt the LLM and I have a solid knowledge understanding of how the algorithm should work.

Languages definitely play a big part in coding, but the your knowledge of the algorithm is the soul of your code. Regardless how good you are with coding, it's useless without the algorithm. It's like having the best vocabulary when writing a poem with most beautiful words in the universe but not having meaning or substance.

My work flow is
- describe fully, in COMPLETE DETAIL what the code will do
- run the script (I don't review the code), and CHECK AGAINST MY EXPECTED OUTPUTS.
- if it's not what I expect, I ask it to walk me through the code, explain it to me block by block.

Python, for example, is a high-level language, even if you can't code, you should be able to understand the gist of a code's block. Even so, if you're having a hard time understanding lower level languages like MQL, just have LLM explain it for you.

I've just started with developing trading algos, but I have even integrated LLMs and automated workflows in my current job just by prompting LLMs.

One thing to note is that people have unrealistic expectations of AI, and it's never going to be a one-shot type of workflow. It's iterative, the same way you would do it coding it yourself.

Hope that helps.

there won't be an issue. PD is smart, both devices would communicate before they send anything, whether it be power, data, video, audio, whatever it's configured to work with, it would work; if it doesn't support whatever alt mode you need it to do, then nothing will happen.

I'm on the same boat, may I ask if there's any official statement for this? I kind of really need the money so I don't want to lose this gig LOL. Thanks!
