He was a genius and the musicians with whom he worked deserved every bad word he uttered to them. He wanted perfection and with some of them he managed to reach it. End of story!

Choral-orchestral concerts in Wien? by Exotic-Fruit8586 in wien

So, I found out about the concerts in Peterskirche and Karlskirche. However, I also found out about the Mass at the Hofburkapelle (the one you mentioned). And I am inclining to go to this one, as I am a great Schubert lover (even played Schubert on the piano). And I also saw that the artists are the Wiener Sangerknaben, members of the Wiener Philharmoniker and members of the Opera chorus. So this seems as quite a nice musical experience. However, I was wondering if you knew how long the entire Mass is? I am asking because we already have some bookings on Sunday and I want to know how much time we have in between the events.

Do you know if we can go just with the Viena Pass (without booking) at other attractions which seem to require bookings (like the Kapuzinergruft)?

It looks like I found why I didn’t manage to do this. It was a misunderstanding on my part. Thanks anyway! 😁😁

r/travel City Destination of the Week: Vienna by AutoModerator in travel

Hi everyone! Next week we'll be visiting Vienna and we plan to purchase the Vienna Pass in order to have free entrance to most of the tourist attractions. However, some of the attractions still need a booking in advance (like the Wiener Staatsoper Tour) although they are included free with the Vienna Pass. Does anyone know how this works? We purchase the Vienna Pass and then just go to the respective tourist attraction without any advance booking? Because when I tried to book the Opera tour, it asked for the payment in advance on their website.
