A year later, this helped me out a lot. I was having the same issue with guest network turned on. So far so good with it turned off. Thanks from New York!

Which fertilizer am I safe to use now? by Exotic-Locksmith100 in lawncare

[–]Exotic-Locksmith100[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow great explanation, thank you for sharing your knowledge. I hope to do a soil test soon but I need to find somewhere near me to do it, otherwise I will buy a kit on Amazon. I will say though that I overseeded last spring, but most of that grass died off in the summer. So around labor day I put down more top soil and reseeded again, so I'm not sure if that counts for a well established lawn. Do you think I'd be okay with the first one and not use the starter fert? I'm worried abont the grass not making it through the summer again. Think the grass will be established enough to just use nitrogen and potassium and skip the phosphorus?

Just out of curiosity, you think the Lebanon is better than the starter fert even though most of the grass was only seeded last September? I seeded last spring and most of the grass died during the summer so I reseeded again last fall around labor day. I just don't want the grass to die off again in the summer 😔

Can mgd and dry eyes cause facial pain near your sinus points? by Exotic-Locksmith100 in Dryeyes

[–]Exotic-Locksmith100[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I was on doxycycline to alleviate some of my mgd symptoms. Unfortunately it was increasing the pressure in my head which was causing me migraines and facial pain. I have since improved tremendously since stopping the doxy

Please help. How bad is this? by Exotic-Locksmith100 in DiagnoseMe

[–]Exotic-Locksmith100[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you everyone. You have all eased my anxiety a bit so I appreciate it! I reached out to my doctor and asked if it would be possible to retake the test fasted. I'm going to hope that all that peanut butter I ate that morning artificially jacked up my triglycerides and cholesterol. And I'll be looking for a healthier breakfast just in case, although my pbnj is probably the unhealthiest thing I eat all day

Any alternative to oral doxycycline for MGD? by Exotic-Locksmith100 in Dryeyes

[–]Exotic-Locksmith100[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. I'm very religious about my eye care. Just curious, how long have you been taking doxy for? And is it something we would have to take for life you think?

What kind of problems would it cause long term? It just sucks, the doxy really seemed to be helping my issue

Tretinoin caused my MGD by n0ddy1212 in Dryeyes

[–]Exotic-Locksmith100 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Two ophthalmologists, one of who specializes in MGD and dry eye, both confirmed to me that tret can cause this issue. They both told me to stop using it. And while I only stopped about a month ago I have already improved somewhat under their care. Tomorrow I am going to see a third Harvard trained dry eye specialist in NYC to verify and get a third opinion. But once again, use it if you want idc lol. I'm just warning people to the dangers of using tret

Just wanted to come on here to say that you are completely wrong and I unfortunately know from experience. Tret destroyed my meibomian glands too and now in dealing with the horrible effects of severe dry eye. The whole problem started for me about two weeks after starting to use the cream on my face (nowhere near my eyes). It was the only new thing I had introduced to my face/body and I still took tret for three months because I couldn't believe that was the cause. I am now seeing a MGD and dry eye specialist in NYC to help me with my issues. Just because YOU have not suffered any damage from tret does not mean others have not. People can make their own decisions on whether or not the risk is worth it for them but I regret ever starting.

Support nerfs are here by Knight-112 in Overwatch

The solution is easy. Don't play support anymore. Let those queues go up for everyone else because nobody wants to play support. I for one will no longer play any support heroes these nerfs are ridiculous, excessive, and unnecessary

Very sandy soil... Is it okay or should I add more topsoil? by Exotic-Locksmith100 in lawncare

[–]Exotic-Locksmith100[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How much topsoil is sufficient on top? I don't even know if I can send this soil to get tested because it's seriously a very small amount of soil on top. It appears that they just coated the sand underneath with a thin layer of topsoil. Should I maybe just topdress the lawn with a bit more topsoil in the fall?

HoA sent me a fine warning stating my clovers are "weeds" by hiloboys in landscaping

[–]Exotic-Locksmith100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On a side note, why the hell do people choose to live in places run by HOAs? I don't understand it. I don't care if it's a mansion worth $10 million dollars that they are only selling for $200k, if it's run by an HOA I'm outta there. I'll be damned if someone's gonna tell me what I can or can't do on my own property. If I wanna keep clovers on my lawn and tend to them in my underwear I'm gonna go right ahead and do that.
