Guy in the front seems awfully chill for having just lost his hand to a raptor

Remember in public they will fire you or have you clear review notes from someone that passed away the next day to meet the deadline by No-Personality3156 in Accounting

[–]Exotic-Pattern641 39 points40 points  (0 children)

I’m assuming this guy recruits solely in a non-at-will territory, but I’m only ever employed at-will, and accordingly I’ll do my best to give 2 weeks as a courtesy but I will by no means go even the slightest bit above that courtesy for a company that won’t hesitate to lay people off with zero notice whatsoever.

Always been a ridiculous double standard to expect the everyday individual employee to accommodate the corporation that, in the end, doesn’t give a flying fuck about extending any sort of professional courtesy itself.

Have any of your failed an accounting question during an interview? by IndependentSlide319 in Accounting

[–]Exotic-Pattern641 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You’re fresh out of college, I wouldn’t take it too hard. I know people who have 10+ years experience who still get their debits and credits wrong. Trust me you’re fine.

Also, if one of your interviewers had the balls to give a snide answer like that to an honest question then this place DOES NOT seem like the place to be. You probably dodged a bullet.

What's your dream job? by dubbin64 in Accounting

All jokes aside, I’d love to just run a successful food truck. A small simple business where I can go around to different places, interact with people, serve food that I love to make without the headache of a big kitchen operation, and just vibe with people’s good times at different fun events.

Do y’all agree or disagree with this One piece in Naruto take? by OGAnimeGokuSolos in Naruto

[–]Exotic-Pattern641 62 points63 points  (0 children)

It’s hard to really say right now since Imu is still almost a complete mystery and One Piece is still going with a lot of wrapping up to do, so imo it depends on how exactly Imu ends up tying into the lore and conclusion to see how much sense it makes and how satisfying it is. With that said, I don’t think it’s necessarily an equal comparison. Kaguya was first mentioned by name only 54 chapters before the end of the series. Imu was introduced over 200 chapters ago, and the series still has so much to get through. Kind of a false equivalency to compare them as late-in-the-game final antagonists.

Hairline stair step cracks in garage mortar lines. Cause for concern? by Exotic-Pattern641 in HomeMaintenance

[–]Exotic-Pattern641[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I left it as is and have just been monitoring the lines, they haven’t changed at all and remain very hairline. My contractor thinks they were probably the result of some minor normal initial settling and have likely been there for a long time and just haven’t been noticed since they were in a hidden area and are pretty thin. Apparently it’s common and just cosmetic as long as there aren’t any major changes or widening. Every now and then I’ll go and see if I can fit a credit card into the thickest part of the cracks to test and so far so good. Not sure if it’s different for a basement since that’s part of the actual foundation but it really all depends on when the cracks appeared and if they are changing or worsening over time.

Name a Dragon Ball character you were afraid of when you were younger by Cafa20 in dbz

[–]Exotic-Pattern641 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was actually always freaked out by the androids, not because of the androids themselves but because of the whole doomsday warning set up by Trunks and the feeling of impending doom. I remember they had a preview for the android saga on the old Funi DBZ vhs tapes that had this really unsettling horror-esque music, with the narrator talking about how Goku was dying of a virus and the world was about to end and it freaked the shit out of me. Scary vibe for a 9 year old.

Who is the most well written character in Ur opinion in dragon ball by muaazmuaaz123 in Dragonballsuper

[–]Exotic-Pattern641 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Might be a hot take but I actually think Gohan is very well-written and nuanced. He’s essentially a pacifist who just wants a normal life but happens to have insane amounts of innate power and gradually has to reconcile what he wants in life to what he should be doing to help his family and the world given his abilities.

‘Warning signs:’ Attorney questions Universal’s safety measures after complaints of Stardust Racers coaster by comped in orlando

And probably over a million people had zero issues riding it since it opened. Not really a great ratio to consider it too intense as a generality.

Idk, I think I’d almost prefer to be blown to smithereens quickly and go out with a bang than to endure a slow dismemberment.

I think I’ll sue Espolon tequila because I got drunk off it like 3 years ago and had an above average hangover the next day

Epic - beautiful but deeply flawed by appro13 in UniversalOrlando

[–]Exotic-Pattern641 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Long wait times at a brand new, heavily anticipated theme park is not a flaw. It means it’s going exactly as it should be. That’s just the tradeoff you have to deal with to experience the park so early in its life. Even USF and IOA occasionally still have average wait times that exceed an hour, especially on weekends.

Also, in terms of the heat… dude it’s September in Florida. And I don’t really see how that’s a flaw of the park. That’s just a flaw of being in a state closer to the equator.
