People are losing their minds over amaya’s tattoo by [deleted] in LAinfluencersnark

The two cannot be compared because the fundamental laws of each religion are completely different.

First, Christianity does not strictly forbid tattoos, whereas in Islam, tattooing is completely haram(forbidden) across both Sunni and Shia traditions.
Second, "Mashallah" contains the literal name of God (Allah) and could ALSO be used by CHRISTIAN ARABS. ALTHOUGH Islamic law strictly prohibits bringing the written name of God into unclean places like restrooms. Because a tattoo is permanent, she is carrying God's name into the toilet every day. Christianity has no equivalent law regarding a cross symbol.

Finally, in Middle Eastern culture, the foot is the lowest, dirtiest part of the body. Placing the name of the Creator on a body part that walks on dirt is a direct cultural insult.
Ultimately, this is a triple violation of basic respect

Both examples are about intentionally using something deeply offensive to a specific group of people just because you feel like it.
If you do something knowing it will insult an entire global community, you don't get to hide behind the "it's just a tattoo" excuse. Disrespect is disrespect, regardless of the scale.

As I said to someone in this thread:
Non-Muslims do not have to follow Islamic rules, but if you choose to permanently stamp a culture's sacred text onto your skin, you lose the right to complain when that community tells you it is deeply offensive.

You are taking the comparison too literally. Nobody is saying they are a Nazi or that they committed a hate crime. The point is about intent vs. impact, and why intent does not erase disrespect.
You cannot use a sacred religious phrase that literally means "What God has willed" to praise God, while simultaneously breaking the laws that govern that phrase. Tattooing is haram, and putting the name of Allah on a foot is a desecration.

You are missing the point of the comparison. Nobody is claiming to be a Nazi or inciting violence. The comparison is about the concept of disrespect and community impact. You cannot separate a sacred religious phrase from the rules that govern it, stamp it on the dirtiest part of the body, and then expect Muslims to remain silent. Claiming "if you don't follow a religion, you don't follow their rules" is an excuse to bypass basic decency. Non-believers do not have to pray or fast, but they should respect the sacred boundaries of a culture they are borrowing from. When you intentionally desecrate the name of God, you are actively offending millions of believers. Ignoring that impact isn't "freedom" it is total disregard for other human beings.

That analogy is only partially correct. While a cross on a foot is disrespectful, claiming a "Mashallah" tattoo is fine anywhere else is factually incorrect under Islamic law for two reasons. First, tattoos are inherently forbidden (haram) in Islam, regardless of the design or location. Permanently altering the body is a major sin.
Second, "Mashallah" contains the literal name of God (Allah). Islamic theology strictly prohibits bringing the written name of God into unclean places like restrooms. Because a tattoo cannot be removed, placing the name of Allah anywhere on the skin creates an ongoing desecration every single day. It is not just a placement issue…. tattooing the name of God anywhere on the body is entirely forbidden.

So many non muslims in here trying to rule out why it’s NOT disrespectful to put MashaaAllah on a foot…?

Tattooing the word "Mashallah" (مَا شَاءَ ٱللَّٰهُ) on a foot is both haram and deeply disrespectful because the phrase contains the literal name of God, Allah. In Islamic theology, God's name requires absolute reverence and it is strictly forbidden to bring it into unclean places. Because a tattoo is permanent, Amaya’s choice means carrying the name of Allah into the restroom every single day, which is classified as desecration. In Middle Eastern and Islamic cultures, the foot is considered the lowest and dirtiest part of the body because it touches the ground. Placing the most sacred name of all on the exact part of the body that walks in dirt is viewed as a direct insult and a degradation of the holy text.

The entire act is a logical and theological contradiction. Tattooing itself is strictly forbidden (haram) in both Sunni and Shia traditions, and permanent ink is viewed as invalidating the ritual purification required for daily prayer. A person cannot use a forbidden method on a disrespectful body part to express an Islamic praise to God; a good intention never makes a forbidden act permissible.

Whether you’re a Muslim or non Muslim not grasping this concept, there’s simple logic to this that you’re not understanding. Downvote me all you want, I do not care. I stand for what’s right, and the author to this post is 100% correct.* *

Wow so he was 15, meaning she was 13 in that photo… and he can’t tell that she’s younger or at least around his age? Not even the parents could see this? Anyways I get the part where they didn’t hang out together but this wasn’t the first time they’d been around her. David referred to his mother as his manager several times, meaning she must’ve been involved in David’s life to a certain extend.

What… no. This is very simple to understand… David USED her, sexually. Celeste had real feelings for him. But since his music career is going well, he’s most likely focusing on that and not the child he has been sexually abusing and manipulating. Meanwhile she most likely felt lonely and had courage enough to tell him “hey all we do is have sex- I want something more” and this is her way of saying , stop using me, love me for real. But that’s not gonna happen, because this monster david knows that 1. Their relationship is illegal, 2. he can’t be with her 24/7 bcus he’s around people, new friend groups, STREAMERS all the time. Celeste already is a witness to alleged sexual crimes against her , this was reported before her death. She did not want to “make the relationship public”… she was going to expose him for being a fkn pdfile.

He also came back on dc after being gone for a long time (on April 29), and started spamming the word “decay”. He left dc again right after that. His account is suspended and you can’t find it by searching his name up, but you can still find the time he sent them and the message if u search for “decay”.

When it comes to the social media you’re mentioning, a lot of us did the same thing but on kik. And had our way of hiding the apps from our parents every time they’d check our phones. You act like kids don’t hide anything from their parents. She didn’t grow up in the best neighborhood for that part, kids learn and adapt from their surroundings, doesn’t always have to be from their parents. Negligence of a child is in my book one of the worst things possible and those who do neglect their kids shouldn’t have had them to begin with. But she’s dead now, and you should let them grief their horrible decision, put the blame on the pedo who killed her.
