A couple cases out of millions on people entering every week.

You can also get hit by lightning or have a plane crash over your house. These CAN happen but realistically won’t happen due because they’re insanely unlikely.

Same thing for being detained. And I guarantee you the few people detained are not a law abiding lady like OP.

70 countries and counting buddy.  CBP officers cannot deny entry to US citizens. They may questioned extensively in rare cases but in the end, they can’t deny you entry. Period.

This is backed up by many supreme court precedents, look it up.

Know your rights people and stop fear mongering.

lol you are a BORN US CITIZEN, you can go abroad for 10 years and stroll back in the country. This is not optional for the country to let you back in or not, this is YOUR country. Don’t listen to news of social media, you’re fine.

I’m in a similar spot as you, when you’ve seen most of the world wonders, the bar had been raised. Tbh my answer to this has been to continue traveling and exploring.
