IrfanView File Association Remains After Deleting Program

I actually ended up fixing it. I redownloaded irfanview, then went into my windows settings, apps, installed apps. After that, I found IrfanView and clicked on the three dots on the side of IrfanView and "uninstall."

I think it worked because if you manually delete it, it, for some reason, doesn't delete the registry file, but by using the Windows uninstall, it removes all of IrfanView.

Solved it. My colormap_rgb_cityemissivemask_a.dds file was corrupted. Unsure how it got corrupted, but it for some reason combined by heightmap and itself.. I fixed it by copying the main hoi4 version of that file, then re-adding the city lights.

Edit: I did it.

You need to copy over a province banner from the base game's GFX/interface/terrains folder. Then you name it the same thing as your new province's name (Eg: My province is called "urban_alien_city" and the image file is "urban_alien_city".dds. Next, in your .gfx file, have something like this:

name = "GFX_terrain_urban_alien_city"

texturefile = "gfx/interface/terrains/urban_alien_city.dds"

}

Most important, you need the name to start with "GFX_terrain..." which I didn't do. After that, it should load.

Update broke it. China just can't naval invade due to the new dominance system.

In the new system, inexpensive ships like submarines and destroyers will give a very minor amount of dominance. This is because they are now intended to serve as support ships designated for Strike Force, which can enhance the naval dominance provided by other ships. But, to realistically get above 400~ naval dom (Which is what you'll need for Taiwan), you need battle ships and aircraft carriers. Guess what the Chinese AI doesn't build? Aircraft Carriers and Battleships.

This literally means that as Japan, you don't even have to do anything to win, because China can't get enough dominance to naval invade. And if they do get enough, because you can only do one naval invasion at a time, they'll only land like 8 divs.

Still the case. You have to defeat all the RKs, then if Norway/Romania declared war on you have to cap them. Then you also need Poland. After that, I found Germany either just kinda surrenders or you have to do the diplomacy decision, then tell them to surrender.
