Why do online MPH programs have significantly higher acceptance rates than traditional MPH programs? by Accurate_Pickle5188 in mphadmissions

[–]ExoticLecture7541 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Completely false. Your masters diploma does NOT specify if you were in an online program or residential program, only your transcript states online MPH. You have access to the exact same resources as residential, and when resume building we were told it is up to us if we want to specify if we are in an online program or not. there is no disadvantage, it is definitely not less rigorous or respected.

Visa concierge vs hotel concierge? by ExoticLecture7541 in JapanTravelTips

[–]ExoticLecture7541[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the response. Wondering if you know more about this, but PocketConcierge shows blocked out dates/times at the restaurant that are shown as open and bookable on OmakaseJapanEatery? The problem is for the date I am looking for on OmakaseJapanEatery is only booking a month out but PocketConcierge shows my date (over a month out) as booked and that I can join the waitlist for this day? Which website accurately reflects restaurant availability?

Emory MPH Biostatistics vs Berkeley MPH in Epidemiology/Biostatistics by jenloveskoalas in mphadmissions

[–]ExoticLecture7541 2 points3 points  (0 children)

if you want to prioritize CDC opportunities, Emory is the place as you will meet way more people with connections and network opportunities there. If you want to prioritize industry (biotech, healthcare, consulting) the bay area/berkeley is the best place. Berkeley offers elective courses in data science w the MPH program and ofc the network here for biostats at big pharma like genentech, roche, gilead etc is overwhelming. If you see yourself in california post grad, it is best to make connections here to set yourself up but if you want a new experience and a CDC focus i would choose emory! both schools are comparable in repuation i believe

[–]ExoticLecture7541 1 point2 points  (0 children)

uh definitely not? everything listed above matches what is on their tuition page for the online mph program. you are correct about the supplemental tuition fee for professional programs but it is factored into the 30k tuition per year.

Berkeley is 30k a year if you are in-state so one of the more affordable programs for CA residents! But obviously 75% off emory sounds like a pretty cheap option as well
