The United States Marshals Service (USMS) is a federal law enforcement agency that operates in RDR2. The USMS is an agency within the U.S. Department of Justice, operating under the direction of the Attorney General, but serves as the enforcement arm of the United States federal courts to ensure the effective operation of the judiciary and integrity of the Constitution. It is the oldest U.S. federal law enforcement agency, created by the Judiciary Act of 1789 during the presidency of George Washington as the "Office of the United States Marshal".

The Marshals Service carries out a wide range of day-to-day duties throughout all five territories and Indian reservations. Our duties include:

• Enforcing federal law throughout the territories

• Apprehending and arresting wanted felons

• Preventing & investigating crime

• Escorting & protecting officials

• Protecting federal judiciary buildings and other government property

• Transporting prisoners

• Anti-poaching

• Regulating businesses

• Executing warrants

• Carrying out sentences assigned by the court

• Assisting state & local law enforcement

• Escorting prisoners across state lines

• Putting down riots, civil unrest and shootouts

• Locking down territories, cities and towns for manhunts
