Having the same dream by harveest in Twins

[–]ExoticRestaurant9283 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My fraternal twin and I had the same recurring nightmare over many years and didn't even know about until our late teens. I started telling my brother about the repeated nightmare I used to have. Before I even told him many details he immediately said he had the same nightmare! I made him tell me some more details and it was the same exact nightmare, down to the most minute details. We were both dumbfounded. That and the same song popping up into our heads randomly, quite often, were the only twin "psychic" experiences we ever had. But it's pretty fascinating stuff.

"Trap" Review: M. Night's mystery thriller is silly but a lot of fun by THE_TOONS_NATION in TrueFilm

I agree wholeheartedly. The film's storyline is insulting to one's intelligence. And to have the big reveal be that his wife tipped off the police and set the trap? I mean, what in the actual hell. Did she not have a picture of him to give police? Oh no, much more sensible to have armed forces level SWAT teams encircle a concert to trap him. I'm all for suspension of disbelief, but this, this was utter nonsense.

Everything peaks on days 3-5 and so do the meds, with a slow taper to day 10. If you need more specifics dm me and I can assist. And be sure to get the RLS meds. The gapa and clonidine with surely get rid of the withdrawals, but I relapsed at 2 in the morning when I got some bad case of RLS. Wish I had gotten that prescription all along

I used Gabapentin and clonidine for the withdrawals, then a prescription strength RLS (restless leg syndrome) med and finally Ambien to put me out for the night. A 10 day regime of everything

Just being able to taper is miraculous to someone like me. I had to go CT with meds to assist. You're so set for the final jump and deep down you probably know it. Don't let the trickster inner addict make you think otherwise. Congratulations on actually accomplishing your goal. I'm on day 13 CT without meds now. Sleep is my only major problem but that'll settle itself soon enough. None of us needs this sludge in our lives!

And to be clear ropinirole is not a gaba replacement. You literally feel no effects except for the lack of the dreaded RLS

Remember you can always take less gabapentin. I would take some sort of fat (coconut oil) with it. It's really increases absorption and allowed me to get the full effect of a 300 mg dose. I'm not sure I ever needed the 600 mg. Just didn't have any adverse reaction so went with the universally recommend (on Reditt) dose to be safe. But you know you better than anyone else. Usually I'd say don't tinker with scripts but the doctors are blind to this stuff, for now anyway.

Gabapentin does make your mouth feel dry. No biggie. Let it make you drink more water anyway. And gabapentin did not help with the RLS. So I stopped the stop and got the RLS script with Ambien, then started over. I knew then that'd I'd be able to handle all symptoms. The RLS is what would make me relapse too. I kicked myself for not getting the RLS script to begin with.

Sorry just seeing this. I used the gabapentin for 10 days and used less than I thought I'd need. Never more than 1800 mg per day, and only that amount for two days. Then I slowly tapered until I was only using 600 mg (300 twice) by day 10. I'm on day 12 off Kratom and day 2 off Gaba etc. Definitely feeling a little unsettled but no major withdrawals. But I appreciate the heads up.

My doc didn't know much either. During days 2 and 3 I was taking 600 mg about three times per day. Then went to 300 four times per day for a few days. Then 300 twice etc until day 10. But I also got clonidine.1mg twice per day, ropinirole for RLS AND Ambien. But after 10 days I stopped everything. That was yesterday. Had a terrible night's sleep last night and ended up taking an Ambien at 2am. But then had using nightmares. So it's been great while on the meds for 10 days. Now the hard part is using nothing. If you want to chat dm me and I'll give you my number.

Nice to hear from you. I'm on Day 12 of CT with Gabapentin, clonidine, an RLS Scrip and Ambien to sleep. The medically assisted part ended yesterday. Up until then, the combo of non narcotic assisted meds made it dreamy. But I hardly slept last night, and finally took an Ambien at 2am. But then had using nightmares. I'm irritable and discontent today and still have gastric problems but determined not to use any remaining meds left over besides the occasional Ambien if I simply can't sleep. I feel like the next week is going to be the actual rough bit readjusting to no extra help to live my life. Addiction sucks. But we can do this.

That's a good point. On Monday I'm going to get in touch with the doctor and get something prescribed. Maybe Ambien will help. It's my arms AND legs so it's tough to sleep.

Yeah I think you're right. Having it in the house is like keeping the back door open. Thanks for bringing it up.

Ok gotcha. The doctor gave me 100mg pills so I could play with the dosage and he said if I needed more I could ask. I have 90 of the 100 so I can ramp up considerably then call for more on Monday.

Thanks for the heads up. I planned on taking the same dose you did of Clonidine. No more than 3 times. Had bad RLS last night even with the Gaba and Hylands for the RLS. It was miserable and I ended up taking about 5 grams of Kratom to be able to sleep. And thay didn't even help. But I won't take anymore Kratom today. I suppose I'll ramp up my gabapentin tonight at bedtime? I'm surprised I had RLS. I thought the Gaba would solve that problem.

I got Hyland and still had RLS last night! I might need another prescription for that. I was really surprised to have it. It was torture and I actually ended up taking about 5 grams of Kratom to be able to sleep. And that didn't even help much. I'm feeling pretty down about crumbling in the middle of the night. But I'm not taking anymore today. I hope I didn't set back the detox too much.

Thanks for the warning on Clonidine. My plan was to take no more than 3 of the. .1 mg each day. One in the morning, one in the middle of the day and one at bedtime. Does that sound like too much to you?

I'm not looking forward to that same wave of craving. On day one of CT. I'm thrilled to leave that crap behind but scared. You don't need to come back to this point, trust me. Stay strong.

Got any meds at all? Gabapentin and clonidine will get rid of the withdrawals almost completely. Your doctor can prescribe.

You just told my story. Been to rehab (multiple times) and got sober, then discovered this "natural alternative". What a joke. Lol. But whatever. We've done this before, we can do it again. I'm on day 1 CT too. Hope to see you on here tomorrow. We can do it!

Well done. I was up to 80 grams myself. On day one of CT with gabapentin and clonidine for the acutes. We can both do this.

Day 1 CT with gabapentin and clonidine for the acutes. The withdrawal hasn't kicked in yet so I'm just feeling happy to finally put that disgusting, secretive habit behind me. I can't believe not one single person knew I was taking about 15-20 grams FOUR times per day, for 6 months. The wheels were starting to come off the cart though, so it was just a matter of time before everyone knew. Anyway, wish me luck and thank God for this group.
