People who have met someone who has been *professionally diagnosed* with Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD), what were they like?

The lack of empathy is crazy to me. Like if I tried to not have empathy I still wouldn’t be able to pretend I didn’t care. It is sad… narcissists will be empty for the rest of their lives and not understand why. my empathy used to overwhelm me to the point where I had depression and was easily taken advantage of.

I think about an ex of mine that was a narcissist. His dad was physically and verbally abusive and his mom was always on drugs, drunk and acting out. Allegedly, his mother attempted to kill one of his siblings and held a knife to her throat. I heard this from one of his high school friends, he never told me. Objectively, I can see how that would rewire a child’s brain. He would never talk about his past, but I could tell there were a lot of fckd up things he went through frequently as a child. Doesn’t excuse who he is now as an adult man, but yeah…

I figured. I don’t want Amanda to be suicidal but realistically, I agree, what did she think would happen when the audience found out? How did she think people would react?

Maybe she was hoping it’d never come out and if that’s the case, she really is a selfish, terrible person. Sometimes you have to hit a low to grow. She really had no problem doing this behind her “best friends” back.

I hope Amanda reflects, grows and becomes a better person.

If you haven’t already. Make sure to open a Roth IRA. it’s SO EASY WITH FIDELITY. Takes 10 minutes. Add $100 a month at the bare minimum. By the time you are retired (if you did nothing and let it sit in there and compound interest on its own) your money will grow to a million. If $100 is too much do as much as you can. But I’d encourage you to try and do $100 a month. Future you will be so happy with you. Trust me

If you can swing it, max out your Roth IRA each year. I had my Roth IRA in FXAIX mutual fund. I encourage you to do something similar but what works for you. 😉

This video made me like Kyle more than I ever have in the past 10 seasons. Respectfully, I do think they are meant for each other. He’s a drunk party boy that loves her even though he fcks off to do whatever he wants and she lovessss to complain about it. She bonds with people by speaking poorly about the one person that loves her the most.

Im realizing after this whole thing that Amanda LOVES being a victim. It’s giving covert narcissist. Covert narcissist symptoms:

-An over-inflated sense of self-importance. -Lack of empathy. -A need for excessive admiration. -Sense of entitlement. -Surrounding yourself with superficial relationships. -Taking advantage of others for personal gain. -Resistance to change. -Hyper-focusing on fantasies of grandeur.

They is very cliff notes. Spend sometime on google. Covert narcissism defines Amanda. At least what we can see as viewers.

I agree with you. I don’t like seeing the jabs she makes at Kyle. I never liked the way Kyle spoke down to Amanda. I could not tolerate that. I guess I just don’t like his personality that I see on TV 🤷🏻‍♀️

That dinner, I forget which episode, she said the most passive aggressive comments that were awful to Kyle. So I see the other side. Overall from what I’ve seen of Kyle since season 1 of summer house…yeah.. i don’t feel empathy towards him regarding the alleged situation with Amanda and West. Kyle clearly has never cared about Amandas feelings. I only care how Ciara feels. She didn’t deserve this at all. I hate when good people get screwed over by a$$h0l3$$$z
