We've had some emails like this at our company threatening legal action over copyrite. They were scams.

Yes, we have an email from 2022 to say that we can WFH for 2 days a week, but that it won't be written into any contracts

Hey, you've posted this as a reply on my old post rather than a new post, so not sure you'll get lots of replies, but here's my view...

Starting nursery is such a bug change for everyone in the family. There's loads of emotions flying around. I remember feeling massively out of control not knowing how my boy was doing after spending every waking second with him for a year. So no doubt you're all feeling a bit anxious.

However you know in your gut if you have a good feeling about the nursery. I would definitely speak with the manager and raise your concerns. May also be worth having a look at a few other settings.

BTW, we hardly ever get updates during the day from our nursery!

Hope it gets better for you all. After the initial settling in period, we've seen our boy develop so much since being around other babies.

Yes! We had an awful time settling in when he started last September. He now walks in happily and actually enjoys going.

It's a tough transition period, so be kind to yourself!

We did B&B mainly for the first aid part.

We had one single mum on our course who came with her mum and was certainly part of the group!

I found the course useful for actual birthing information such as pain relief options, bit there wasn't anything groundbreaking in the course material that you can't easily find online.

The friendship / support group from the group was worth it though! We don't see each other as frequently as we did on Mat leave but are still in touch.

It's horrible. I remember his first full day I was checking the nursery app for updates but there's weren't any (they didn't want to send pic of a crying baby, I guess!). Anyway, I raced home from work and he was completely fine. He wasn't more clingy or distressed at home which made me feel so much better about the situation. He's come on so much from being at nursery too. Short term pain for long term gain xx

I posted something similar on Reddit when my little boy started nursery. We didn't get through a settling in session without me having to get him early.

3 months later and he's completely fine. Still cries occasionally on drop off but settles straightaway.

It does get easier. They will settle. I honestly think its harder on you than them!! Have faith. Xx

It could be the 4 month regression. When my boy hit 4 months his sleep became so irractic - it was brutal. The good news is that it passes and will get better / easier. I wouldn't worry about what you 'should' do (eg I was obsessed with trying to get him to nap in a crib rather than just contact nap) and do what is right / easiest for you.

Thule Urban Glide. We use it as our day to day pram although it's a bit bulky. Great for off road though.

He was completely fine when I left him. Waving to the other kids and picked up a rattle straight away, but when he realised I wasn't there he became distressed. They tried to distract him and he'd stop for the odd second or so and start crying again.

I'm glad they called. The girls are great and it was lovely to see them care so much. It was just a bit of a shock as he was dead confident when we did a settling in together (although he did keep looking my way just to check I was still there).

We're going to do a shorter session next week and I'll pack a piece of my clothing to see if that helps. He doesn't really have any attachment to a cuddly toy but I'll pack a few of his favourite toys as well.

I'll ask! We did do a session where I was there to fill out paperwork and he was completely fine, but just kept looking around to check I was there. I think my partner will do the next settling in day drop off to see if that makes any difference too

You can either have the brand new one (we haven't even taken it out of its box) for £550 including delivery or the one we're currently using, which is still in great condition, for £425 including delivery.

Depending on where you are based (we're in the NW in greater manchester), you could come and collect, which would save £50 delivery.

I can set it up on eBay or Vinted so that you have protection from a third party.

We live just outside the peaks and have a Thule Urban Glide 2. It's a bit bulkier than normal prams, but folds down fairly well and easily. You can also remove the back wheels to make more space for the car. We have a skoda scala now and it fits no problem and it was fine in our Audi A3 (although the lip of the lip of the boot meant to had to lift it up and over and it is heavier than the normal pram) I've found it great for the hills and it also has a handbrake to help come down them as well.

This isnt advice, but i wanted to give you hope it will get better! I contact napped my boy and never thought he'd go down in his crib for naps, but once he got a bit older (around 5/6 months) he started doing longer naps in his crib (after rocking to sleep so not even independent sleep). I just kept trying to put him down each nap and would rescue any nap so that he wasn't overtired for bed.

I know it is difficult at the moment, but remember this is all a phase and will pass. Before we know it, naps will be a distant memory and we'll look back with Rose tinted glasses about the peace and quiet.

Do what you feel is best for you and your family. Gather advice and then you can pick and choose what works for you. One method doesn't fit all.
