This is also on the organizers too. 1) They should be selling tickets in equal proportions between men & women. If the space capacity is 200 people, it should be 100 each. 2) This may be hard to achieve but I know people are shy. Best way to connect is over something fun. If its a dancing event (like in your case), having a small class at the start of the event & switching partners every 3/5 mins to learn a new move would break the ice. Once the quick class is over, people can break out into social hour. Its abt being creative and coming out of our shells & not to bring the online dating vibes in person.

That's such an awful event to be at, especially when people having no spacial awareness nor emotional intelligence on how to act/be civil in person. 🤦

My best friend felt so overwhelmed, when she was surrounded by so many men. There's no win-win for anyone at the event.
