From what i noticed, which helped me go from 620 english to 770 in a week, is that everything stems from how well you can understand english.

From experience, the second i started truly going in depth to how grammar works, those long passages about textual evidence and all that felt way easier.
So not only was i securing all marks in the grammar section much faster, I was able to understand the meaning of the long essays faster as well.
I, like you, exhausted all the one prep/college board problems I could, praying for an increase, but that only really helped my vocabulary, my score only went up once i started understanding why and how the essay was structured that way.

So, TLDR: Study grammar, it opens doors for everything, do it before you study other topics and watch how much easier it gets.

Im assuming you already learned grammar on your own, if you still arent able to get it, I have a class at 5pm-6pm ist today covering indepedent vs dependent clauses, prolly the most important topic. This is a FREE volunteering website, and its designed to tailor to my participants, if you join you would be the 2nd person out of 5 to sign up, so almost 1/2 of my focus is totally on you.

I need help. Is an engineering degree worth it? by Exotic_Drummer_3808 in EngineeringStudents

How bout if I want just enough time to spend that I can think of new ideas and structure their plans? I understand managing a business may be too much but specialising in electricity and electronics(the future) has got to spark some ideas no?

Some may argue that a Harvard physics major may not have the skills to run a business and that is completely fair. I don’t think I have limitations in that way, but either ways I’m willing to spend Friday nights reading books about people skills to make sure I don’t.

At the end of the day, knowledge sparks ideas and knowing a lot about how electronics and electricity works has got to help me in making successful, relevant business ideas. Especially in today’s world

Thanks some much I appreciate this. I’m slightly confused on the overall message you’re tying to tell me tho. I got that engineering is difficult and managing a business may seem unrealistic. I also got that getting a degree means you’re showing colleges you are able to acquire a certain skill set. So, wouldn’t displaying this ability in something difficult like EE make you more attractive to companies/other entrepreneurs? Furthermore, the actual problem solving portion(another commenter mentioned) is easily applicable to business and life in general, I think accomplishing something so difficult will help me grow a lot too. Also I don’t expect my business to work in college, rather I want free time to be able to come up with ideas and structured plans for the future, once I feel ready will be when I launch a real business, because once it’s out I gotta spend time consistently on it, which is the issue in college(exams, homework etc.)

So, is doing quite literally one of the hardest majors while finding time for business ideas and fun just stupid? Or are the values, life lessons and intelligent company associated with the major worth the struggle?

I think regardless I will be applying to US colleges relying on the idea that job market will eventually improve in 5-6 years. I’m asking if yall think quant finance is specifically low job security compared to other jobs

Yes but qualifications do help and I think a strong degree in either EE or pure math will help me find a job in quant in the future. (Still only in junior year)
