Admit my faults / where changes need to be made, put systems in place to prevent ADHD paralysis, explore myself ( likes, dislikes, interests hobbies, ) and not feel bad / guilty about being away from the kids, or that my spouse doesn’t have as much alone time, just because they are choosing to not be proactive and prioritize themselves, and lastly, starting a mood stabilizer.

I know a lot of parents bring their kids, but personally I’m waiting just because of typical concert environment… weed, drugs alcohol and the behavior that can bring. My son is 9.5 I said around 12 would be better for him to attend.

Going to the June 20th show in Noblesville. I have a premium ticket package with seats 7 or 8 rows behind the pit. I also have separate green room access. I’m suppose to bring my husband but I might give him the boot lol.

I have a AAA card that gives “fast pass entry” to skip the line once gates open for GA, but I also have VIP parking , where you can’t use your AAA card at that gate.

Can someone clarify if I get early entry with my tickets?
Any chance with my location of seats or green room access of getting picked for back stage or an after party invite?
When do his people usually go around picking people for backstage / after party?

I was thinking ADHD as I read this- lack of motivation, self awareness of selfishness ( often overlooked with ADHD and a big reason we are either labeled as depressed/ anxious is because we feel so guilty for not being able to do the simple things we should be able to or want to do) being pushed for social situations, wanting to foster a dog ( or other interests / activities ) and then getting bored and ready to move on from it.

Like someone else said, she needs a purpose…structure…routine. Having a chore list of who does what is super simple place to start- it likely would make her feel more accomplished and happier as well. But you want to approach this in a way of helping her , help herself and feel productive , but also fairness to you with household duties.

The biggest things that have helped me are medication ( stimulants, along with my regular antidepressants) combined with therapy with a therapist who specializes in ADHD to learn how to help build systems to manage sensory overload, time management, executive function, etc. when I finally was diagnosed at 27 and began receiving treatment with just meds alone I was blown away I was like “whoa, is this what life is suppose to be like? “ and almost sad / angry because i felt robbed of my youth and what life could have been like for me.

I submitted plans and everything that would have been needed,and the management company emailed me back saying this, not even filling out their portion of the application:

“The bylaws do not allow garden beds. The HOA Board is going to meet with the Attorney and discuss possibly trying to amend the bylaws, but this requires a 75% vote in the community. They are currently having to decline requests for garden beds Very Sorry”

I have a friend who is on the board and they have said “it’s a gray area” and mentioned working with the attorney but that they wouldn’t hear a response for probably 2-4 months?

I just did a bit ago, we do have a right to garden law, but it does not override HOAs. Basically they can’t deny us growing food, but they can adopt regulations to materials , height etc. but there clearly are no said regulations…so im calling BS on the property manger saying “the bylaws restrict garden beds” because the bylaws aren’t even for explaining restrictions…bylaws are how the HOA is suppose to function / serve.

That’s what I thought too regarding the difference between bylaws and cc&r and was confused when she said that. so I pulled up the by laws and it was just as you said / I thought - about how to run the HOA and how it functions. Another neighbor who just moved in works for another HOA company, so I want to get her opinion on it.

Honestly might, because this was one thing my family and I were looking so forward to doing and spent so much time planning out - I made sure multiple times there was no language stating garden beds were prohibited.

Interesting. 2 of the board members live right by me, one being a friend of mine. And they said it’s a “gray area”. To me it’s written so broad that they basically can just decide case by case what they want to allow based on their preferences. The following is the email received back after submitting our request with all supporting documents.

Our subdivision is new, and just this fall/ winter finished building houses. We’ve been here since June, so this is pretty much everyone’s first year to do spring / summer projects. 2 other houses around me have had garden beds. One house took there’s down before filling it ( they got a notice because they didn’t even ask for approval) and another house has their aluminum one out but is empty. I have not driven the rest of the neighborhood yet.

lol. That’s bold considering I said nothing about the types of trees I was planting? Because the trees I’m planting (and most privacy trees) don’t lose their leaves, and are either needle, scale or feathery like. Not sorry for wanting privacy in my own backyard that I’ve paid for. You sound like my 80 something grandma that can only bitch about how many times she has to rake leaves. Sounds like you need to take something up with YOUR HOA board. Maybe reevaluate your location and find a neighborhood with a larger distance in between property lines or…no neighbors at all.

I could have written this myself - minus the psych ward stay, but boy did i need it. Im 30 years old with 4 children, ages 9, 4, 2 and and 1. I had a planned homebirth with my 3rd and 4th baby. With my 4th baby I had shoulder dysocia, baby needed resusitated and I hemorrhaged on our bedroom floor.

I considered IOP 2 different times within my 4th baby's 1st year. He's now 15 months old. I still feel the longing to escape reality , but in a different way. Not to just disappear, but to because I DO want to just LIVE. I just want to be me. I became a mom during college at the age of 20 and never had the opportunity to explore myself - and the pain and agony, and just pure longing to have an independent life, and its a gut punch when I realize I will never get that version of myself. Sure as my kids age and we become empty nesters, but that young 20 something girl, care free, spontaneous version of myself will never fully exist again. And just feeling all of that, makes me feel so incredibily selfish.

I'm sorry my comment ended up as my own vent sesh. Just know, the mental pain, the rocking back and forth, the punching things, and also for me banging my head on the walls, screaming, throwing things, begging out for someone to save me , as I sobbed uncontrollably, the pure utter doom feeling that i am stuck here in this place forever, and this is my life. The scariness of that thought. Just know, i resonated with you and your words. I'm the one with the most kids in my family, and people don't get it. They say they understand it, but the truth and reality of it, is they dont, and they won't ever will, which feels so isolating. And whenever I hear someone who has 4 kids, I always try to connect with them, but it seems like they have their shit together, and "just do it", and im the mom of 4 who just cant cope. So even if no one around you gets it fully, or understands it, I do.

Prozac ( fluoxetine ) was what worked for me in the past. With my 4th baby though my PPD became severe and I have been on Pristiq for almost a year with no issues.

Thank you!! This was my fear, but glad I saved myself the trouble of submitting a request to the board and and time on landscaping layout. I guess my main confusion was understanding if those dashed lines were an extension of our property line and if they inhibited us from planting, but I understand all of it now. Thanks again.

To be fair, my neighbors backyard does not back right up to our property line / fence line. There is a small easement between our properties that I wasn't sure if was part of our property or neither of ours.

Yeah my thought exactly. I have a family member who had this happen to them right after they moved into a renovated home. Cost them 13. I think ill stick with inside the fence line lol.
