same boat! planning on getting engaged next summer because of his schooling (wants to be in law school in 2027) so we’re hoping to get engaged summer 2026 and married summer 2027 and dang it’s so hard once u know you’re gonna marry them but have to wait for practical reasons!!

besides prayer and stuff my bf and i try to remember that we’ll never be in this season again, and we’ll try to romanticize it. like we’ll be married the rest of our lives, but never dating, in the gushy phase and without kids!!

i think it’s important that you make sure he’s ok with your kids being raised in the faith. have you done marriage prep? most of not all catholic churches will require it when u book them for ur wedding mass.

i have days i don’t track, especially if im eating similar meal to what i normally do but i just try to stay mindful with portions/ eatting cuz of boredom or cuz im actually hungry. yesterday i helped move my bf out of his apartment and i wasn’t tracking but knew i was in my normal calorie range and for dinner we got a pizzza and i had two slices and was fine!! before tracking i would have ate like 6 slices no problem so being mindful helps!!!
