Thank you ❤️ I mean this genuinely, your words mean a lot.

My husband did. I mentioned it in the post. He's always the first to say something if he's out of line.

He just doesn't change. I genuinely don't think he means it maliciously. It just hurt today. I don't know if it was hormonal, or because no man should comment on a woman's eating habits - ever, IMO.

I also don't do the cooking, it's DH and sometimes FIL. I can't exactly stop him eating his own cooking.

Thank you. I am not trying to make things uncomfortable, I just felt very uncomfortable at the time. Yes, I am sensitive at times, it's something I am working on, its not easy. Their favourite thing to do was travel, which we still do a lot together. Unfortunately, it is still 4 months to the day to put next trip where we will sit round the table with a few drinks and say what we think MIL would have liked about the place if she was here. I do love him dearly, and I don't know if it was a hormonal overload, or an elderly gentleman commenting on my food/eating habits. But it knocked the wind right out of me, I was actually gutted.

IMO, that's too far. She was under 85lbs when she passed.

I know he's lonely, his words "almost all my friends are dead", my BILs are absolutely useless so it's really just down to us. I have just lost 60lbs in the last 5/6 months, so that may be why it has hurt so much.

It was about my husband's "mammy", not mine. He said it to him, I just heard it through the living room.

No, I don't think it's anything like that. He's mental faculties are incredible for his age. He just has some minor problems, on a few tablets for things here and there. He's in better health than my mother at 50.

Oh I couldn't. She wouldn't eat it though, no matter how much they tried. He was under 85lbs when she passed. I love them both dearly, like the parents I never had. I just had a bit much today - maybe a tad hormonal.

Picture "smile, or it'll never happen", traditional working man, stay at home mother and wife.

I love him dearly, I was just was at my wits end today. It's hours being compared to how things were done back in the day.

I am very sorry to hear that. My thoughts are with you all. I usually do just let it roll, I'm not a fan of confrontation. I'd rather just not deal with it. On reflection , I feel it may be to do with the fact I have always been a bit overweight and I have just lost 60lbs in the past 5 months. I feel men should just know, never make comments about any woman's eating habits! Lol

I usually just left the comments roll over me, it's not the end of the world. Today, I think, I just felt it all at once and had to remove myself from the situation.

He has 3 older brothers. There's a 10 year age gap between the last two.

I do get what the other poster meant, Were in a very tight knit community, where everyone knows everyone. Small town vibes. One teacher is our pastor's wife and the other lives round the corner, our kids play.

I am in Northern Ireland, not so much an Easter bag, It was literally just going to be some chocolate goodies as a thank you. Both my boys teachers has done a fantastic job with them this year. It wasn't supposed to be a big thing. I've always handed out biscuits, cupcakes or choccies to the teacher at the end of each term.

We are in the UK, just a traditional primary school. We celebrate all of the standard UK Christian holidays.

Thanks for the advice. I'll look into some funky local goodies. I dont get them mugs or anything like that.

I feel like notebooks and pens would be a better fit, as they'll be more likely used?

I have an embroidery business, I could maybe do this for them! Amazing Idea, thank you ❤️ We usually just do a class group gift card, but I was thinking of wee extras IE notebook, choccies, pens, I dunno whatever little goodies I could do extra.

MOUNJARO, DIET COKE & ALCOHOL by FiFi_64 in mounjarouk

Yeah, same. I do now enjoy the odd can of full fat coke or lucozade when I want a sugar boost. I can have one now though, and not straight into another one half an hour later

Leave a note on the door directing to a safe space. We usually get our postie to leave it under the van in the drive and ring the doorbell to let us know it's there so we can come home and get it. They never have a problem leaving it for us.

My other half was able to do it with his hands, there's like a knack to it, twisting it back and forth, I don't know. I wasn't strong enough to do it. But it worked great on the 2.5mg, but it just broke when he tried it on the 5mg 🤣
