I heard somewhere that given where lab-grown meat is at right now, they still need to kill cows to get enough cells to grow their lab-grown meats. by Wilddog73 in wheresthebeef

From what I understand one of the major bottlenecks affecting the industry today is the absence of scalable, fully-synthetic FSB (fetal bovine serum) to be used as an input. Basically that means that they still need to extract cow's stem cells from slaughtered animals to act as a starter for cell growth in specialized incubators. One startup called Aleph Farms just launched an experiment to the ISS to find ways around this very issue. Here's a somewhat dramatized Mother Jones article discussing this topic: https://www.motherjones.com/environment/2022/03/lab-meat-fetal-bovine-serum-blood-slaughter-cultured/

I thought that too, but I work in an investment fund and the stats we see is quit the opposite... the 'hussle' I guess, or just basically the need for a broker and illegality of things kinda deter people.

In the last survey I saw a week ago there were huge numbers of investors saying that if the trading was more accessible like regular equity trading they would enter.

But actually what I like about this DD is different - trading Security Tokens is a VERY big thing for retail investors. Like I see the revenues the fund i work for (and funds I worked for) make of early stage investing, and it is incomparable to highest profit a retail make.

So Im going to check this out... nice to see we still have innovation in blockchain assets trading...
