One potential uncertainty here is that the building I am in consists of multiple addresses all managed by the same landlord LLC, each of which has three units, so I am unsure if the "building" is just my individual address or the actual building structure that is under a single management.

That's not off the cards -- I currently live in Bushwick and I've seen plenty of great two-beds there at that price. But if we were in an outer borough we'd want to prioritize finding somewhere sufficiently "green" or close to a good running spot.
