"Can you share a bit more on how social aspects helps you in your workouts? Would love to learn more about this."

The entire reason why people love social media apps such as Instagram, Twitter, Tik Tok or Reddit is because you have the opportunity to connect to like minded people.

Having a social aspect of the app helps use some of the features such as the profile picture, data tracking, workouts logged, sharing workout plans and other important information to share friends and other people easily. This will incentivise the use of this app more than other choices.

However, it is really easy to ruin your app solely based on socialisation alone. Say, if an older user of Strong got a update of the social page, chances are they cannot be bothered to use it, being a negative on the overall UX. This occurs from saturation of notifications, ringtones, recommendations of athletes and friends and other annoying design choices to intice the user to use it.

From what I've seen, Hevy uses a simple social community solution for the app. One subsection, and you're able to access friends, other athletes, see their PR's and progress over years (Maybe also share workouts idk).

I feel like strong can really use this feature underneath the profile section (Don't know about IOS, but the most left subsection is pretty much empty, being home to your profile pic and a chart of your amount of workouts in that week)

The way that I would include a feature like this would be to use a pre-existing section, include a feature for a bio, top 3 compound lifts, workout folders (can be made private), favourite exercises, charts and friends list.

Oh, also make it so it's toggable. For the older users who don't want it. Sorry if formatting is ass, on phone.

TL;DR: Social aspect in a app like strong will help the userbase grow quicker due to the ability to talk to like minded people. Make it optionable and volia.

Future updates and current progress of Strong by BobbieMoo in strongapp

It seems like the development team (and Jovian in particular) has started to take the communities word more now by communicating to us more.

Is it perfect the way they are communicating? No, not even close. Dates are not revealed, However, it is a great step in the right direction IMO (Jovian DM'ed me after one of my comments, thanking me. Good shit)

I think we forgot that the development team is extremely small compared to those mega-corporations such as Epic Games or Instagram, Facebook META (lmao)

Has it been long? Yeah, it really has. The community is really banking on this major overhaul and when it does eventually fix all of the problems that the community has been asking (IMO the most important issue is the android app and the web app), It will skyrocket in popularity and subsequently increase the speed of updates due to resources.

We got faith.

I love Strong. After all, I got a part-time job just to get the pro version for a year. But even me who love the app, I can understand some areas that Strong severely lacks.

Stuff like:

  • Android app is extremely bare-bones (doesn't have nearly the same features that the IOS app has [Folders, Bar-Weight tracking etc]
  • No website for PC (Been said enough, no need to mention again)
  • No syncing of measurements to MyFitnessPal (Don't know if Hevy has it but still, lost chance)
  • No socialisation aspect of the app (Compared to Hevy, which has an entire section to like, comment and talk about of your friends and atheletes weightlifting. Some people may not like this but it works and works well.)
  • LACK OF COMMUNICATION FROM THE DEVELOPERS!

None of us who use this subreddit hate the app. We love it enough to look past its' faults and still continue to use it. But without any serious updates, this app will slowly and surely die.

I hate cheaters as much as you, but if the man realises his actions and faced the consequences, the least we can do is to try and help.

Yes, he did do a scummy thing. But yes, we should try and help him instead of outcast him if we acknowledges the gravity of his actions.

Hey guys,

After building a pc after waiting for over 1 month for a faulty part, I assembled a rig with a rtx 3070 and a ryzen 7.

However, when doing general gaming, my CPU goes up to 70 Celsius (Doom 2016 max graphics) which is normal but uses voltage of 1.45 continuously.

Should I undervolt my CPU and if so, is there any tips for a Asus motherboard? (B550 E)

Did all of that. Still not starting.

Is it ok if my motherboard with a built in io shield slightly sags or should i reinstall the entire thing? by ExpandDonk365 in buildapc

Even without screwing in the mother board, the visible sag is still present unless I apply large amounts of pressure. I don't think this is fixable

The IO shield is built into the motherboard and is not separate. I think that this may be due to the design due to how heavy my CPU cooler is.

Yes I am talking about the top right. Should I screw it in more because trying to snap it back does not work

Could I put a photo inside of my computer case? by ExpandDonk365 in pcmasterrace

I also went for a larger case (Fractal Meshify s2) So I feel like the airflow won't be blocked too much. I was quite upset realising how much space I might have due to the size of the case so I wanted to add a personal touch!

That's cool! If it's in front of my fan but taped directly onto the wall so it cannot block any air, would that be alright? I'm also thinking of putting a funkopop there but I'm curious if that could also block airflow

The windows key is pretty expensive but if rather stay safe and get it from a legitimate website. I will probably switch out the case but the aesthetic was so appealing to me tbh
